Anyone had issues with PS5 Controller yet?

Noticed my R2 trigger if pulling quickly (Like taking multiple single fire shots) doesn't always register after first few :(

Not game breaking at moment but guess its not looking good.

Anyone had same issue?

My USB C port is very wobbly. The cable wiggles up and down and slightly side to side. The same cables are almost too tight in my phones. Makes me very nervous for the future wear and tear on the port. It's going to get loose and have issues just like the DS4 with its garbage microusb port.

Nope, I absolutely love the DualSense. I honestly have not been wowed by a controller like this in several generations.

My Series X controller, on the other hand, is very squeaky. It drives me crazy. Plus I hate the feel of the rounded face buttons on it.

I did at one point while playing Project Diva where input would skip. Looked for places to update firmware and found by TV was like a full version behind. After the update everything worked out fine, no more missed inputs. And this was with PS4 games only as weird as that is.

Might be a good idea to get one of those 'magsafe' type plug in adaptors before it breaks.

Thanks for the tip I'll give it a look. I use my controller plugged into my PC over USB C all the time, and plan on keeping it plugged in. Will having this thing connected to my controller cause any problems with that? Like disconnects or electrical problems.

Mines weak in anything but Astro bot, hardly noticed it while playing spider man but I just think that's normal.

No problems here. I have two, though, and alternate using/charging both, so it'll take me twice as long to encounter any wear and tear issues.

Both Dualsense I have are working just fine. I really love the design, the new features, the weight and the overal feel of the controller. Really nice job there, Sony. You nailed it!

I don't have any issues. The second I started using the controller, naturally I checked out the D-pad and I felt like the Up button is a little mushy. Doesn't seem as bad now for some reason. I have the Sony charging station as well and use it a lot.

Square button was squeaky all of a sudden for a couple of days, then it wasn't. No other issues to report so far.

Dpad was squeaky in the beginning, but seems to have "broken in". Sometimes the vibration during Astro's Playroom would make an audible click. Controller sometimes wont charge when plugged in.

Other than that, while the console itself is made out of cheap-feeling bendy plastic, but I'm really liking the feel of the controller. Especially the clear buttons.

This past weekend, I suddenly couldn't use the controller in games but it would work fine in the system menu. Turns out the spring for R2 had snapped and the trigger was registering as being pressed. Robbed a spring from an old PS4 controller to get it up and running again and promptly ordered another controller from Best Buy before shit broke again.

The face buttons on the right side are squeaky on mine.

That's a fault. Mine are super quiet. The whole thing sounds like it was designed with late night play in mind. The non clicky and all around quietness is an underrated feature of the DualSense.

Mine was drifting a lot in CP2077. I put it down to the game being a buggy mess and running BC mode.

But then it happened one time in Days Gone too so now I'm wondering if it's the controller.

So far seems just to be in BC games - DeS and Astrobot seem fine but I have been mainly playing BC games this last few days.

I started using a ds4 for those games more. I noticed that that the ds4 seems to have stiffer springs and perhaps a smaller dead zone as a result - the Dual Sense seems to have a weaker spring and perhaps a more accurate/responsive movement but which just a tiny deviation from Center is enough to generate a drift with a small dead zone.

That's my feeling right now. I think I'll get another dualsense soon though and if the drift remains send that one back to Sony for a fix or replacement.

Sony should honor some sort of warranty this early into ownership, call them with pictures of the stuff.

I hate to say this but we're beta testing for mainstream. The DS4 got way better after people pointed out a handful of major flaws and I expect that to be the same with the DS.

Fucking Cyberpunk fucked with me because it made me think that the analog stick was drifting in the character creator and the UI.

Nope. Just Cyberflunk.

I just sent Sony my launch DS5 since the dualsense motor wouldn't stop clicking whenever the system was on....

Get the charging cradle and you'll never have to plug anything into your controller again. It's the greatest console accessory out right now.

Mine lost that next-gen vibrate, rattled like a PS4 controller. But I did what Sony told me to do. And now I have a new one. Working great.

I had an issue where a flat controller would not register with the PS5 when plugged in. Had to use the USB port on the back of the console for it to work.

I've noticed the occasional lapse in registering my R2. It doesn't happen often but I've been killed once or twice in cod/fortnite due to it

I've been playing AC:V for the past two weeks and I've had numerous occasions where pressing the L2-button wouldn't register. Don't know if it's a problem with AC:V or with the controller. I wish the PS OS had a simple controller test option like the Switch has.

Doesn´t charge in the Console, have to use the Phone adapters i have, thankfully they are ultra speed and charge the DS really fast.

The biggest problem I have is the D-Pad which seems slightly cursed in both consoles: on PS5 it can collide with the controller shell as you press it in a certain direction (the D-Pad is a single block that can shift a bit causing this), but otherwise it works.
XSX D-Pad mostly works ok (albeit it very rarely but sometimes did not properly track a press, I guess I need not to feather the touch even if I hear the button click), but boy it is very noisy :). You can hear the D-Pad clicking from another room :D.

It's just a strong magnet that holds on some spring loaded contacts - there could be disconnect/reconnect problems if the magnet is too weak - they go pretty cheap too, sub 5 on ebay so there's likely to be some duff ones out there ..

Unfortunately I can't recommend a model - plenty reviews out there - note some just provide the 5v charge signal, not data (this worked fine on Dualshock4, dunno DS5)
