Between Apple devices' high residual value and "discount upgrades" after a year, I plan on upgrading yearly for the foreseeable future.

Current iOS7 is still buggy on my ipad so I would think they will just give an release date today instead of it actually being out today.
IMO iOS7 will launch a day or two before the 5S comes out, same happened with iOS6 if I remember right.
Most likely a couple of hours after it's done.

I have never had an issue with it and it sometimes has a lot better satellite images here in Sweden than Google. Better quality and newer, however Google has an absurd amount of POI information that Apple will never be near. That's why some places will always be harder to find on Apple Maps.

I'd rather have an mini sd card slot on the 5S so that Apple can be competitive on the phone market.

Weird that Jon Gruber thinks that Apple will honestly keep the 4S around.
I'm pretty certain that Apple wants to kill the dock connector this year (and, probably, the 4S's 4:3 display). Just like they only need to retire the vanilla MBP to stop using optical drives. They don't want to keep that shit around until fall 2014.
