Are there any cool games coming out soon?

According to this thread no.

Returnal (PS5)
Resident Evil Village (PS5 or PC)
Ratchet and Clank (PS5)
Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS5 or PC, probably PC)
Deathloop (PS5)
Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade (PS5)
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD (Switch)
Kena Bridge of Spirits (PS5)
Ghostwire Tokyo (PS5)

Those are the games that are loosely on my radar until October or so . None of that is a sure buy, but the 2021 situation is exactly what I expected it to be and now it depends on how good those games are in judging the gaming year 2021.

The only thing that has a high chance of happening this year that is a 100% buy for me is The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remastered(?) Edition. Could be a free upgrade patch or could not happen at all. Same would probably go for Bloodborne PS5 or any of the Uncharted games in an upgraded collection for PS5. God of War PS5 unlikely to get a substantial upgrade.

Don't get me wrong. I want new games. New big AAAA PS5 Single Player games is what I want to see. I simply adapt to the situation and I expect many games (that are scheduled for later this year) to be delayed.

For new games I'm looking forward to Guilty Gear Strive and RE8, though for the latter I'd like to play it on a new console, so depending on factors I may not be playing it come May.

Also looking forward to Doom 3 VR and Doom Eternal: TAG part 2, though one's an old fuck game and the other an expansion pack. =P

Not really too much beyond that...though whenever I get a PS5 I'll finally give Miles Morales a go and I can see myself playing Returnal once they slash the price considerably.

Lol nah brah, why do you think people are head over heels for Velhiem and Loop Hero? In the land of blind, the one eyed man is king son, sooooo....FUCKING GET THAT GOTY VELHIEM!!!!

Depends on your platform

Switch just had Mario 3d world, bravely default 2, Persona strikers (which I think is on all systems), kingdom of amalur rereckoning, battle brothers, and Monster Hunter Rise (next week).

Pc had overhyped Valheim (imo), and not much else, sadly. Waiting for system shock remake and Gothic 1 remake, both are in the works.

So I don't get GameInformer anymore and have been out of the loop since Cyberpunk came out.

Are there any good games coming to PC or even console that people are excited about? Feels like a drought of games right now.
Resident Evil VILLAGE is coming in May and its gonna be awesome 👌 Capcom taking everything they learning making the amazing RE7 are about to release one of the greatest horror games i have 100% faith in it 🧟‍♂️

Tomorrow the DOOM Eternal DLC2 gets its release date, im not sure how its gonna turn out but DOOM Eternal main campaign is probably my favorite in fps (not counting Metroid Prime) simply amazing game.

If you like Monster Hunter MHRISE is coming this month (i don't 😕 but it looks solid either way)
Not much, but there is some good stuff for RE fans 😋

I'm really looking forward to guilty gear strive, though I wish it hadn't been delayed.
I'm also hoping Gran Turismo 7 comes out this year.

Someone needs to give Dice an ear full about a beta, alpha and demo it's less than 16 months from the next Battlefield let's build the hype.

Doom 3 VR
Aliens Fireteam
FFVIIRI
Returnal (hopefully no misandry)
System shock remastered
Indiana Jones
Kena

Unannounced games, remasters and stuff that is already out but I havent played yet.

On PC there's System Shock coming out.

I'm currently overwhelmed on Switch with Fenyx Rising, Kingdom of Amalur and next is huge release for many , Monster Hunter Rise!

But assuming you made this thread you're probably not interested in MH?

I have loop hero and disco. They are both pretty good. Kinda short but good.
Disco's going to be updated with full voice acting and new content/story/people.

And next month Oddworld is coming to PS+, otherwise waiting on Kena, Ratchet and BoI Repentance which all should be out very soon too.

Apart from RE8, Returnal, Ratchet, Disco Elysium and It Takes Two I'm really curious about New Pokemon Snap. The original is such a great game so I'm cautiously optimistic for the new one. Hoping that it's a bit more of a fleshed out experience. There's of course a bunch of smaller games that I wouldn't have heard much of but will check out and love.

The ones I'm getting are Nier Replicant (life gave me a second chance to play this masterpiece since I had already sold my 360/PS3 when it came out), Ratchet, Returnal and Kena.

Another Amalur fan? Was so pleased to have this release on the switch. I bought last year when the remake released on ps4 , then my ps4 started acting up (i refuse to play it as it sounds like rocket launching). I owned it on ps3 but never finished it. So this was a triple dip for me. All worth it though, it runs buttery smooth on the switch and looks great (at least handheld, haven't tried docked mode yet).

Also another good switch release is Battle Brothers, direct port from PC, that is not on the consoles (that i am aware of). If you like games like xcom , darkest dungeon, final fantasy tactics you should check this out. Incredible game, imo.

Monster hunter is next on my list, although i just picked up no more heroes, braverly default 2 and mario 3d world. Thats 5 games in one month on the switch. I love this little peice of kit. i just hope it holds up for me to play the hundred plus games i own on it.

Been on blackout on Monster Hunter Rise. I really hope its more of a throw back to Freedom unite style and storytelling than world. World was fine just not as good for a single player. It was harder for me to get into for some reason, and I played freedom untie, portable 3rd (on hacked psp), monster hunter 3u, and 4u on 3ds and loved them all, up until it gets to hard to solo.

Wait replicant was on ps3? Is this a remake of the first nier game or something? I only thought there was one nier on ps3 , the one I owned and sold when i needed cash as it was worth a bunch :(

Not a whole lot. In the very short term, I'm looking at Immortals Fenyx Rising's DLC, arriving next week. Beyond that, I don't see anything until May:

- Mass Effect Legendary ed. (May 14)
- Biomutant (May 25)
- Far Cry 6 (May 25)

I'll pick up one of those. Not sure which one yet.

In the meantime, I'm looking through old games that I'd passed up and seeing if I want to give them a second chance.

Nier Gestalt and Replicant are mostly same game other than main character being different. In Replicant which was only released in Japan, you play as the brother while Gestalt which we got in west in 2010 you play as the father.

That's one big list of switch game to go through! It's always fun to see how well new games run on Switch. It's kind of addicitng. Amalur runs flawless indeed!

I've been blackout from Rise as well, just like you, hoping it's back to Unite/Tri roots and less like the modern World , type of MH.

Give me your friend code if you ever want to share hunter card!

Shin Megami Tensei V should be releasing this year too... right? Ha ha...

Jokes aside, we might see some gameplay on the 20th. There's a SMT concert and Atlus seems to like to reveal things on those.

God I hope so, what is up with SMTV development? Is Atlus really having hard time developing the game on UE engine?

Maybe... hopefully it's not the case and it's just Atlus taking things at their own pace as usual. Buy hey, if we are lucky we might get to know this Saturday.
