Are there any games that you would consider Pixar quality?

no... i think even knack wont do it.

never felt any game which even could scratch any of these cgi-movies.

even anime games do not look like anime games.

closest is the naruto ultimate ninja storm series.

We aren't quite there yet in the technical sense, but there have been some games out there that in the artistic, visual sense beat out Pixar. BioShock Infinite maxed out for me is one of them.

Knack isn't a big title for Sony, so the fact that it's even mentioned says a lot.

I don't think we will see Pixar quality...

No matter what Pixar has the advantage...the chose the camera angle at all times...the add effects after to improve how it looks at that angle.

Can't do that in a game.

I think Little Big Planet comes closest for me as all the characters look like they could be in an 3D animated movie - especially Sackboy.

It does seem inspired by Pixar, but it doesn't have that IQ of a Pixar movie. Maybe the cutscenes, but that's probably all.

That's what I'm saying. Its a video game so at the end of the day, it won't utilize all the technology it takes to make a Pixar movie, but it's the closest thing to a Pixar-ish game. Quality wise, no game will ever come close....yet.

Nope. Neither visually or otherwise. FYI Pixar quality to me means their best stuff rather than their few weaker films - i.e. The Incredibles, Toy Story, Ratatouille, finding Nemo, etc.

Watch a Pixar movie and the look at Knack, watch the trailer itself and tell me it doesn't look like a Pixar-ish movie. If it wasn't a game, you might have thought it was. Only difference was, it didn't have disney under the name.

No, it doesn't. Pixar movies have usually excellent art-style, which is something that Knack absolutely does not. If anything Ratchet and Clank looks more than a Pixar movie.

Everyone will laugh at me because it's not in HD but Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 gave me that Pixar vibe. Stunning animation, vibrant colourful worlds and that feeling of being a kid again where everything is so magical.

Knack is probably the closest they've come. However, they were going for a Pixar-ish feel when they were making it anyway. There's about a full movie's worth of cutscenes in that game apparently.

I would hold that Rare is the Pixar of gaming.

The question remains though, now that Rare's sold it's soul to Kinnect. Who is the Rare of gameing now?
