How do you "snobs" feel about the national chain Grimaldi's compared to other chains?
I mean I'll still eat it, but it'll never be better than deep dish
I live in goddamn Rome, would be embarassing if i wasn't.
I sure as hell am. I grew up with eating NYC pizza atleast once a week until I left to go to college in New England. What a dark 4 years that was. Papa Johns and Dominos everywhere. People not from a good pizza area just don't understand there is a difference.

I've stayed with people who live in rome and the pizza they find is usually pretty basic stuff.Rome has some bad pizza in the touristy spots, but everything else is amazing. Whereas Naples is a total shit pot but doesn't have a bad pizza anywhere.
I am going to put that on my tombstone. The worst pizza in the world is still pizza. And pizza is good. When the chips are down, any pizza is better than no pizza.
Considering New England has the best Pizza in the US. You're not a pizza snob you just don't know pizza.
Mileage may vary if New England doesn't not mean New Haven, CT.
Making food has very little to do which region the ingredients are put together in. Why would it be better in one area than another? Are the people in one region more skilled than another? The only thing that really changes region to region is the water due to very different sources and varying treatment practices.
I hear statements like OP's far too often and amazed at their belief. This belief is elitism plain and simple.

That damn Jet's bread taste like a heart attack. A delicious, garlicky, heart attack. The only franchise I enjoy these days is Jets. Detroit style pizza is very underrated and in terms of the USA varieties, it is only second to New York syle.
Every five to ten years, I lose enough brain cells so I forget what Dominos pizza tastes like. My daughter is home sick and really, really wants it. I can't get her to eat anything else right now, so what the hell.
However, I know it's gonna be WRETCHED.
OK Dominos, this is your chance to surprise me.
