Are you getting Watch Dogs: Legion?

They could have set it in China. Its literally one of if not the biggest human rights abuse going on right now.

Unless Brexit is somehow worse and more deserving of a resistance then rounding up entire regions into concentration camps.
Basing a game on an ongoing crime against humanity is probably not a great idea.

Well I guess I can't say I'm not too surprised with the responses. None of the games have been big successes at launch.

It was a joke. I was agreeing with you while making fun of their faux gravity when introducing their games, hence the Nate Fox gif. It's not brave for Nate Fox or Clint Hocking to make a game criticizing the most egalitarian nations on the planet.

probably but not sure when. might get it on the 10th november to play until cyberpunk comes out. if i don't then won't be until way into next year.

I got the other 2 games for free on PC.

Never finished the first, barely touched the 2nd with its awful hipster-story and the 3rd looks even worse to me.
If this thing doesn´t get incredible reviews I´ll have forgotten it ever existed a day after release.

Haven't played a Watch Dog game yet don't see a reason to start with this one.

If gets great reviews I'll wait till it hits $20

Ah.

Apologies for the misunderstanding. I am iffy on detecting sarcasm in real life, nevermind on a medium like the internet.

I really liked Watch Dogs 1 and loved Watch Dogs 2. However, with the next gen consoles coming and me wanting to play some of the games that target the new hardware, I think I'll hold off on this for now and maybe pick it up in a sale down the line.

No, because there is no main character.

Yeah, quite a challenge to deliver a good and engaging story without a main character.

I don't expect much tbh. Got it for free through the Nvidia promotion, so I'll run around SJW London and see if the game will manage to keep my attention.
Let's hope that at least the running around will be fun.

Yep , I purchased one month of Ubisoft+ Pass for £12.99 then cancelled straight afterwards and ill get to play it through that.

ill probably put 10 hours into it then drop it like most Ubisoft Open World , i find there Open Worlds fun but Soulless after a time

Prince of Persia has wallowed for years and is getting a shit looking remake. Meanwhile, Ubisoft keeps trying to make fetch happen with this franchise. Fuck em.

I will get it day one on Series X. It looks pretty fun. My only wish between now and release is that they patch in a 1440/60fps/RT or 4k/60 without RT mode.

Someone send Ubisoft a link to what Sony is doing with that racing arena game...

People are playing it on Twitch right now, it looks to have all the bad and all the good of Watch Dogs 2, whatever that means to you.

It looks like an interesting game, but so did WD2, and that game I thought was just awful, with terrible mechanics and a dull and uninspired world (which sucks because that area is very underused in games).

If WD3 actually lives up to the promise of this series I'll probably check it out... for $30 on sale on PC.

It's crazy but up till today I had no idea Clint Hocking was the director of this game. I will probably buy for the series X launch based on that alone, before I would have bought with a deep discount. Far Cry 2 and chaos theory are both amazing games.

No, didn't buy the last one either. They had a great concept with Aiden Pierce. His family was murdered so he became a vigilantly against cyber threats. He was an anti hero with little sympathy for his enemies. All they had to do was have him go from city to city taking down the cyber crime underworld. It could have been epic.

Instead they made a BLM, SJW San Francisco game. And now they are making some retarded control a grandma game. Boring. No thanks.

Watching CohhCarnage play the game right now, and he recruited a male construction worker called 'Gwyneth'

Graphics look stunning though on PC.

I like the RTX stuff on twitch... I wonder how the PS5 version will compare.

well Ubisoft's official website says this about the next gen versions:

Xbox:
Xbox Series X | S: The near-future London of Watch Dogs: Legion will fully benefit from the hardware accelerated raytracing of the new Xbox Series X | S; from Piccadilly Circus and its giant digital screens, to Camden High Street's neon lights and holograms, the power of real-time ray traced reflections brings a never seen before level of realism to an urban playground.

PS5:
PlayStation 5: Ray tracing on PlayStation 5 will immerse players in a city full of digital screens, holograms, and neon lights

weirdly they don't mention RT reflections in the PS5 section and only talk in general PR speech about how neon lights will immerse you and shit

if it wasnt fucking london maybe, god that is the most boring city ever...just like in real life. so no. Also, game looks absolutely fucking boring and has no identity.

WD1 is still best watch dogs.

I'm interested because of Clint Hocking, the location (I live in London), and I've enjoyed the previous two outings despite their flaws. Plus I have a new PC that can hopefully power through some of the usual crap engine performance.

No. I love the idea of a Watch Dogs game set in London, but something is just extremely off-putting about the image and atmosphere this game projects. I also don't like the idea of not having a main protagonist.

Can't help but feel like this project has been a giant waste of Clint Hocking. That said at least it is a shipped product, unlike the result of his time at Valve and Amazon.

I will try it eventually though, if only to play the Aiden expansion. I liked WD1. Plus both this and Valhalla can be had for 15 euros on their uplay service.

I might grab it at a significantly reduced price in the following months. If it's somehow GOTG contender, I might grab it at full price at a much faster pace, which I doubt since ubifsoftormulaicgameplayloop....

absolutely everything about it looks meh, Im completely fatigued with all Ubisoft games, wish they would try something different.

I complain about Ubishit as much as anyone else but this game actually does look like something different.

For all we know it is a frankenstein monster of Ubisoft's other games like everything else they've done lately, but both this and Immortals look pretty fresh for Ubi.

I liked WD2 but that was enough to give me fatigue, doubt this one will be much different even with the character changing shenanigans.
So i'll pass

I enjoyed both WD's on PS4 for what they were. Had a lot of fun playing the multiplayer hacking invasion in the first.I thought the 2nd one was a bit too far on the cringe side of things with some of the story elements.

Got a code for the WD Legion with my 3080, so I might as well give it a shot.

Definitely waiting for reviews, and then I'm not excited about buying it on UPlay. Might wait to see if they bring it to Steam in a year.
