Are you interested in Wii remasters on Switch?

Galaxy 1 & 2
Prime Trilogy
NSMB Wii
Xenoblade
The Last Story
Skyward Sword
DKC:R
Excite Truck/Bots
Endless Ocean 1 & 2
S&P 2
Punch Out

That's what I want.

No, Switch should've been backwards compatible. Wii U was backwards compatible with the Wii.

How sway?

But uh no. Most of the prominent Wii stuff was on the Wii U eShop. The only I can think of is No More Heroes 1 & 2 HD. And maybe the fire emblem game cause it's so rare. Most of the other stuff is already easily accessible and/or don't need another release.

As someone who has had a Wii plugged into my TV from launch to today, I can honestly say I can't imagine paying for a remastered wii game. Metroid is great and Mario Galaxy is great, but I've played them many times already. That said, if they made them, is probably buy them...

This officially needs to happen. Emulation is great but a proper release would be something to celebrate.

No More Heroes collection, please. Hell out as many Suda 51 ports as possible on it.

Also I think it's about time for a New Super Mario All-Stars.

I would love to have Wii Sports Resort, or even a new Switch Sports.

Came here to say this. After the disappointing lack of content in Wii Sports Club I'd love to get another Wii Sports Resort. There was so much more to do in that one. Maybe rebrand it as Mii Sports Resort or something.

Sure, I'd love to see Wii Sports Resort, Mario Galaxy HD Collection, and Metroid Prime HD Collection. Those would all be day one purchases.

I'm really over the concept of remasters.

Why's that? Because it gives people who missed them the first go a chance to play them? Or because people may want to play some of their favorites at a better frame rate and/or resolution? Or is it that who pesky "God, this takes away resources for new games AND THAT OFFENDS ME!!!!!" thing?

I can totally see how all of these could be annoying. Totally.

No. Nintendo should focus on retaining customer purchases for past systems rather than making them buy the same stuff over and over again.

Customers who bought games digitally are ignored.

I'm 100% on board. Loved the Wii.

But give control options (for those who don't like waggle and for handheld mode).

As opposed to costumers who bought games physically?

Absolutely, with the exception of series like Mario Kart, Smash, Mario Party and Wii Party I pretty much never played a lot of Wii/Wii U games so I hope to see a lot of remasters on the Switch.

Still nobody has explained how they could make the control work for the Galaxy games. Even if they included an IR receiver for tv mode (to make it function like a Nunchuck/Wiimote), how would it work in handheld mode?

YES.

And while I agree with some of the suggestions I saw near the beginning of the thread as they are obvious and need to happen (Skyward Sword, Galaxy 1 + 2 ... and Sunshine), the one I want the most?

Kirby Epic Yarn.

Give it to me.

Now.

?

Who said this was a zero-sum strategy?

We're talking about eshop purchases. Since it's digital, there shouldn't be any excuses like no disk drive.
I don't they sold Wii games digitally on the Wii. They did sell a few on the Wii U, and remember that the Wii U was fully backwards compatible with the Wii, built on top of the same hardware. The Switch has completely different hardware and can't run Wii games without them being properly ported.

Xenoblade Chronicles, Skyward Sword(needs to have motion controls come back as an option at least), Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, No More Heroes 1 +2

As someone who loves playing this thing in handheld mode, I'd be down for double dipping on almost anything just for the portability.

Absolutely. Get rid of the motion controls and I'll buy them again.

And needless to say, Xenoblade HD would be the best thing ever.

All I've wanted since Super Mario Galaxy came out is Super Mario Galaxy HD.

I'd buy the Switch if this happened.

At first I thought "no" cause I play them on Dolphin on pc but then I thought bout portability and that would be nice

Already exists on pc. Looks amazing. I'd love it for the portability and lack of motion controls

Since we won't be getting a new metroid until maybe 2018-2019 (if nintendo plans on it obviously), metroid trilogy HD would be a great way to please the fans. Skyward Sword HD is perfect as well.
