Pretty much expected and nice scores. This is basically Splatoon reviews part 2 lol.
Yup, and that's good!

Don't think you can call it a consensus when there's such a high variance.
This is pretty mixed, way more mixed than I was expecting
I considered this to be around a 60-70
Seems pretty divisive so far. Is this going to be the fate of all motion controlled games or is something else dividing the opinions of reviewers?
I haven't seen any reviews disagreeing with either of my points though. I guess some could find that it's not fun, or could find that there's a ton of content.

Over at USgamer, our reviewer gave the game a 3 out of 5. They loved the core gameplay, but felt it was kind of thin on overall content.

More like "arms technica" amirite? 😝
60-70 is just silly imo, a solid 8 was about what I figured, game is fun as hell, just could use more single player content from what I've gathered from previews and such, with the reviews now confirming as much. The free DLC and such should help maintain interest though, at least for me anyways.
Seems divisive, still don't know if I'll buy it or wait for a sa-- lol it will be the same price four years from now T__T
I hope they expand the universe with free updates, because as of right now, it is a little barebones.
Yeah this looks like what I expected so far. If it clicks, you really like it. It seems like a game that really depends on that click happening though.
Still, solid start for a new IP. Had fun with the testpunch, just not sure if I'll bite the bullet or not at launch. Hopefully the DLC is awesome.
Game is getting the same dlc treatment as the first Splatoon.Over at USgamer, our reviewer gave the game a 3 out of 5. They loved the core gameplay, but felt it was kind of thin on overall content.

It's a Nintendo game, if you're lucky you get it 5 dollar/euro cheaper used from someone that dropped the game. But as they will keep publishing DLCs for free it will be hard to get a used copy I guess...
Well I've been playing the full game for over a week and I've experienced all there is to do and the gameplay is not varied enough for me at al, most of my play time has felt nearly exactly the same despite which weapons I utilize under any combination.
Well they will provide free content. Feels like Splatoon all over again.

And Overwatch.
Arms is a game I like more in theory than actually playing it. It often feels like a shell for a could-be great game. The depth is there, as is the strategy. With more arms, fighters, and stages eventually on the way this year incrementally, like Splatoon's regularly updated model, I imagine a year from now Arms will be a much different (and much better) game.
Pretty much where I stand (based on my time with the Testpunch) but we know that free content is coming so that should help.Over at USgamer, our reviewer gave the game a 3 out of 5. They loved the core gameplay, but felt it was kind of thin on overall content.
That was to be expected, I guess it's also Injustice's fault. ARMS should have had some kind of Story mode for SP I think...
Actually, the minority are criticizing the game for content being lacking over the motion controls.
But you see more 5s and assume that's the case... amirite?![]()

I didn't think the characters were different enough in that same breathe and that's not even considering the blatant lack of any real single player or substance, I also wasn't a fan of most of the party modes or anything that wasn't 1v1 actually
I'll mention I like fighting games but I'm simply used to more in this day and age
Which is probably a good thing as it's also an indication of the weapons and characters being balanced well enough.
