Assassin’s Creed Unity: Time Anomalies Trailer

.... That looks really interesting. I was trying not to support parity because of "Debates and Stuff." but the game really does look good. That soundtrack is ridiculous,

I wasn't going to buy this at all, but I am still not going to on release. One week isn't enough to play it before Dragon Age. But I'll definitely buy it within 6 months now.

Why are they spoiling this? In order to bring the good old "The Truth" feeling of AC2 back? Is this a DLC trailer?

But seriously, why did they spoil this?

What the hell? I thought the Animus isn't designed this type of DNA sync. Unless, I miss a story gap since I didn't play AC4. This is the kind of deux-ex machina I hate being implemented in such a way. So unhyped now. All it does is make Ubisoft go fucking wild with the AC formula. Next we'll be battling Minotaurs, Greek gods and the like.

Jesus..
Since AC4 the Animus don't need the user DNA. It's using DNA sample from a database. So if it's a nasty Anumus bug blending two DNA samples information...

They couldn't bear to send players to France without sending them to the Eiffel Tower. Kinda cool.

So I'm guessing it's a linear mission thing. You start in the subway, and climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower to activate something that sends you back in time?

Is that supposed to be a nazi flag? If so, where's the swastika?

Yes there should be a swastika in the wreath. Probably either chickened out or just didn't include it in promo materials because it would limit their ability to use the same trailer in Germany I think. Who knows if it's actually in the game, of course.

For the preorders!

...........I dont understand.
There is time travel in Unity?

It's all a simulation in the Animus. So they could go to whatever point in time they want. Looks like these are Animus bugs/glitches that you have to close before you go back to the right period.

Now there has to be a modern day reasoning for why the animus is doing that. Could be Juno's doing or an effect from us hacking the animus.

i'm assuming close to 2000 people are working on this game... this does look interesting though, lets hope its not shallow considering it was probably outsourced to some obscure team halfway across the world.

Assassin, watch out, the French Revolution simulation is collapsing. I don't know what time period you'll end up in."

So this time in the 'meta-story' we are an assassin and no longer a beta tester for a game developer?

Don't worry people, it's ubisoft. They are pretty capable to ruin a cool idea in a shitty bland side missions. Something something said to me it's the Watch Dog case again.

WatchDogs Virtual Reality Missions made it into AC:U

I knew that they wouldn't miss the opportunity to show off the Eifel tower.

If you played AC3. At the end there is a hint that Abstergo came in and grabbed of all of DNA memory data from Desmond. In AC4 you realize that it just wasn't his memories, but now Astergo has a huge memory bank and are editing them and releasing them as entertainment media.

I realize that, but still, Animus is not a time machine, it's just a window to look into certain period of time. A person himself cannot travel to the past or future. The main hero during WW2 memory section would be a different person than Arno and would wear WW2 style clothes. Here Arno literally travels to different time.

I guess I'll just call it an ... anomaly. But they're really pushing the boundaries of Animus as a plot device.

Like I said previously...it might not even be the animus anymore but this new Helix thing.

Because this content is not main campaign, its fun challenge mode.

It's still something that you shouldn't spoil. KojiPro didn't spoil Snake's Nightmare in MGS3. It was just a cool little extra that you ran across in the game, and that left people discussing it after finding it.

The memories between the ancestors can be mixed up by an error in the Animus, so you play with Arno in his grand grand grand children time period. We already saw similar effects with the Animus : on Desmond, on 16, the time breaches with the First Civ.
