You'll probably kill Americans too, though they haven't shown that in any of the promo material so far. I always thought the Assassins were neutral.

Sorry I cant enjoy a game where killing Brits is how you win. Same reason I could never get into Silent Hunter in the Atlantic. Too much patriotism for my own good.
Shame as I enjoyed the rest of the series, have to skip this one.

Hm... you don't want to kill guys, I see. Seems like a game with Assassin in the title doesn't seem to be for you...
Well I dont want to kill these guys no. Shrug. It is what it is. Somewhat bizzarely I will have no problem playing Hitman.
Anyways, dont want to piss on other peoples enjoyment. The game looks good, hope you guys dig it. That setting just is not for me I guess.
Me too. This one seems very "get the redcoats" though.
Although to be honest I am not that interested in killing Americans either (Anglo/American here).
Killing some good guys or the other good guys doesnt really appeal to me.

Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their own threshold with what they are comfortable doing in a game.
I wouldn't write it off entirely though, if you enjoyed the others in the series. I'm hopeful with this outing that we'll have even more stealth-like options (i.e. - less random killing) to utilize. I loved using smoke bombs in Rev. And as others mentioned, there are baddies on both sides.
So.. what do you want? Press A to jump?
Or you have no ideas and just wont ever be appeased because you don't know what you like.

But he might have secret wishes that it never happened...I always go out of my way to ensure that I avoid killing innocents during assassination/stealth games, but I got another approach when it comes to the Assassins Creed series. In the historical setting everything has already happened within the game universe. All you are doing is to relive the past through virtual simulation, you can't save anyone since they have already been dead for hundreds of years. As a result I have no problem killing anyone. Assassination targets, soldiers, and civilians are all disposable as long as I am playing as one of Desmonds ancestors. Could never have done the same though if you actually decided whether people lived or died within the game universe.

Another off-screen Wii-U video. I'm not sure if it's the camera or what but the framerate looks like garbage compared to the other versions.
They are apathetic with regards to political ideologies, but they do have a side. Assassins vs Templars. Whoever is Templar is working against them. From the looks of it, it seems like Red Coats are an obvious choice of Templars, or their generals/leaders are. Pretty sure there are some Templars in Continental army too. Remember, Dr Warren Vidic is also a Templar. You'll probably kill Americans too, though they haven't shown that in any of the promo material so far. I always thought the Assassins were neutral.

Only version that is running at 720p![]()
I've seen so many complaining about the fact that most promos show a large number of targets being British. WHO CARES? It's a game. Jeez. At least this isn't nearly as bad as the absolutely heinous racism allegations at RE5.

After watching the ship gameplay again, I noticed that some of the guys seem to jump to the british ship in a similar way as Connor is. Maybe the game will have a recruiting system similar to the Brotherhood, just this time your picking your crew.In the gamespot live show, he seemed to suggest that it was an integral (and pretty big) part of the game, so hopefully we'll have planty of it.

There are a couple of ship-based outings in the main storyline, says lead game designer Steve Masters, but lots more in side missions.
New in the brotherhood's repertoire, though, is an ability that lets a recruit disguise himself in an appropriate guard uniform.
In the E3 demo, we see Connor's four recruits arrive dressed as British Redcoats and form up as a walking cluster--exactly the kind inside which assassins can hide themselves. With Connor walking in the centre, posing as a captive, the apprentices can escort their master straight past real guards that would otherwise block the path or make trouble for unblended assassins.
In the Boston video you can see Connor calling 4 guys dressed as solidiers and the pretend he has captured to bypass some guards.
I like that, definitely a more plausible way than hiding between prostitutes. In the Boston video you can see Connor calling 4 guys dressed as solidiers and the pretend he has captured to bypass some guards.
