Pretty much done with the series.
The carriage racing made me laugh out loud. It's a carriage with horses, not a friggin' car. Just the way the horses would slam into any random thing and knock out street poles was pretty funny to me.
The grappling hook seems cool (as do the new vehicles likes trains and carriages). That being said, it's the same sh*t they've been doing outside of that.
Fucking lol at the INVINCIBLE HORSES m8.

That was the most flaccid reveal I have ever witnessed. I saw nothing to be inspired on and nothing that makes me wanna learn more.
At least Unity attempted to be interesting, until it shit the bed before launch.
Color was not one of the reasons that made black flag interesting. Matter of fact the color green is synonymous with annoyance in black flag, since its the area of limited movement and opportunities
Literally the only reason people hold Black Flag to such a standard is because of ships
I can see it already 2/100 ally rescue
At least you don't get de-synchronized for pedestrians you run over lol
Both the carriage and the hook are nice additions, I agree. But they only help you to traverse the city a bit different and faster. That doesn't mix up the same old and by now boring formula. The last good thing they added were the ships, sadly they fail to build uppon that. So it is the same for me, this will be the first main AC title I am going to skip.
Also the carriage pursuit reminded me of the AC 2 carriage pursiuts...
I mean, that's why people vacation in the Caribbean. It looks beautiful. Really hard to top that aesthetic with gritty, industrial stuff. You can't tell me that this
Doesn't look nicer (color-wise, and on the eyes/more interesting) that this:
I'm still excited for Syndicate, but I love those greens and blues of Black Flag.
Oh, you betcha. Don't let this closed environment shit fool you. This game will chug like a frat party. Can it run at 15fps though?
So generic.
The least exciting AC reveal.
Yeah its not going to look like that at release.
A full, 3D Shao Jun game set in China would be so great.New AC is revealed to a resounding "meh".
Assassin's Creed Ancient China cant come soon enough.
YepThis did nothing for me. I think the series fatigue is real.
I'm sure the game will do just fine anyway.
This looks really ugly and bland, the gameplay is just old.
Oh and i have never understood the hype for the Victorian London setting. But that's just a personal taste.

Yup. I'll probably play it eventually, but not at launch.
The Order, despite its issues, did that era very well. Not sure how AC will.
I congratulate Ubisoft for not bullshitting us and showing the game as it is: repetitive side tasks (liberate x hostages!), repetitive structure (control x districtcs killing the enemies in each!), mediocre combat, and framerate that still has to improve.
"Our climbing mechanics are simply the bees knees, to accentuate this important strength we'll add a tool that utterly invalidates their existence."
I was wary of the the setting and time period once the leaks came out last year. This reveal just cemented how dreary and boring this London setting looks. Lacks all the spark and charm of Italy or the Caribbean.
The combat looks better though, I like the gritty brawler style of fighting they've included. Otherwise it simply looks like more bog standard AC+rope dart.
Was pre alpha footage too but the visuals have taken a big hit imo, maybe Ubi can deliver a technically competent game as a result.
