Doesn't matter anymore...
SBF LP died horribly because of the initial guidelines. The fact they still have restrictions shows how tone deaf the people in charge are.
I was so curious to get to 7/7 and I did and it was like what
To be fair a 200 part Persona series probably would have been the deathknell for that channel
In their attempt to prevent people from spoiling the game for others, they themselves spoiled the moment when the final part of the game happens. uh..
Ah you mean the absolute nothing that happens?I was so curious to get to 7/7 and I did and it was like what
they beat omicron and only 25% of them died. They could do it.To be fair a 200 part Persona series probably would have been the deathknell for that channel
were now asking players to refrain from streaming or posting video past the end of the in-game date of 11/19
Dan's Gaming and Bahroo raced past the 7th with no issues.Apparently they're not even enforcing the rules, people have been streaming past the previous date without any consequences. Twitch doesn't give a shit.
A guideline that really might've worked, if you wanted to keep spoilers at a minimum, is allow full streaming but say you can only title your video like
Right. But this isn't actually about spoilers, it's about Japanese execs wanting to control content and the western branch trying to do damage control as best as they can.
It was never our intention to threaten people with copyright strikes, but we clearly chose the wrong tone for how to communicate this.
Well thanks for that spoiler, Atlus. I set aside the game for Rain World and have only made it into July. :/
Right. But this isn't actually about spoilers, it's about Japanese execs wanting to control content and the western branch trying to do damage control as best as they can.
Well they totally chose the wrong tone so they aren't complete liersThat is a straight up lie.
I was so curious to get to 7/7 and I did and it was like what
If people don't want to be spoiled they wouldn't watch the streams, I don't understand.
Fucking idiots.
I can watch the last boss fight and ending on YouTube literally right now.
"Spoilers" was never the reason.
Calm down.
That's what I mean. I can type "persona 5" into YouTube on February and see "X IS THE TRAITOR AND THIS IS THE ENDING" in the auto fill.Footage from the Japanese version has been on YT for months.
Why leave out this small beginning part from the article?
" When Persona 5 launched, we put out a set of video/streaming guidelines that we hoped would limit online spoilers for fans who have yet to play the game. "
My cousin likes watching these games with me since he can't afford new stuff all the time with college. It bummed me out we couldn't share the experience.Hey, they just spoiled when the final act of the game takes place. Shock!
I wish they'd revert their implementation of share feature blocking, that would be nice.
You mean the part that was utter bullshit?
The biggest streaming name who streamed this (dansgaming) streamed the ENTIRE game.I have yet to see any major "enforcement" from Atlus either, there's plenty of LP vids posted on Youtube from the US release that violate several (if not all) of the initial guidelines set.
