Atlus USA localizes...... ANOTHER FUCKING SUCCESS GAME?!

Like you play any Atlus USA games, duck. :lol

Anyway, this one's really awesome. It brings a lot of new ideas to the genre, like the route maneuver system and the MC gauge, which is basically MMO-style aggro implemented in a strat-RPG.

If I ever have a lasting memory of everyone who posts on GAF, yours will be of posting really really angry topics, duckroll.

I don't get what the danger is.

My point is, you don't play localized games that I'm aware of. What do you care what we work on? If you were interested in it, you'd already have played it in the original language.

Lets not ignore the point he is trying to make here: Localise the games we care about.

I'm trying to figure out the mysterious relationship between Atlus USA and Success. 7 games starting from Metal Saga! There's something here and I must uncover it! :D

Looks a pretty standart jrpg nothing stands out of it. Even the character designs look dull.

Mechanics-wise, this game is pretty fresh. If strat-RPG fans don't care about it, they should. I hate to think that people will pass this one up like they did Yggdra Union and then regret it later.

The press release calls it "challenging." Hope so. After playing Radiant Dawn recently, I've been craving some more ultra-tough SRPG action.

After watching the video it actually looks pretty cool. I can't figure out too much about the gameplay just by seeing it, but I am definitely interested. The character design is nothing to write home about, but I can get passed that. The sprites themselves look nicely detailed. Plus its a strategy game...and I can't get enough of them!:D

I for one care about it. I really appreciate Atlus and their localization work. I have alot of their PS2 stuff and its great./\

I just wish their was alot more JRPG's and SHMUPS that they could bring to the 360 on disc or over XBLA in NA.

Sorry, ducky -- while Drone Tactics looks boring, uninspired, and completely generic, this one actually looks pretty cool. I'm game for trying it.

(and I know you weren't complaining about Success localizations when Operation Darkness got picked up. :P)

Hey, comparisons to Yggdra Union certainly don't hurt! I still say that was the best SRPG on the GBA, and I loved its new spin on things. Hopefully you guys are snagging the PSP remake, too.

I just hope Operation Darkness gets some balance tweaks and they take enough liberty with the translation to make it more interesting.

I really wish for that game to turn out well. If it so much as gets a 7 on average from gamers, then I'm buying it.

you know i always wondered why atlus usa has contact with success but they never contacted someone like chunsoft... is it because they joined (not sure about that) sega?

FIX CAMERA FIRST, ALL ELSE IRRELEVANT.

So many SRPGs. I've always found the genre interesting, but never got myself to play any of them. Then a friend lent me Disgaea on the PS2 but I disliked the incentive on level grinding.

Looks like it can be a very good genre for portable gaming and I'm thinking of giving it another go. Can someone suggest me a good DS SRPG?

Advanced Wars DS or Front Mission.

You work for Atlus?

If this game is helping fund Megami Tensei Online localization I'll buy 10 copies.

Fixed.

(Not that I actually expect it to ever come out over here, of course.)

Just seeing that it was Atlus, I was interested. Looking at the site, however, I've become very interested.

Speaking of Atlus, does anybody know the quality of Baroque (which is coming to the Wii and PS2 next month)?

WTF IS GOING ON ATLUS?!

They've been fully owned for a while now, the "merger" in the article is just Bandai taking the gaming part of Banpresto and fully integrating it into the larger company.

That merger is the biggest difference of it all though. Bandai Namco has a policy where if they don't localize their own games, no one else does. And now Banpresto is recognized as part of the company. That's the end. :P

i cannot fucking wait i cannot fucking wait i cannot fucking wait for a new ATLUS rpg on my Wii !!!!!!!!!!!1

Regardless of whether or not Atlus can or can not do OGS, the fact that all we have to keep us warm at night is speculation is murder. If it isn't happening, Atlus, just say so. That way, the tears will finally flow and I can have some release from this frustration / rage / anticipation / hope... and then funnel it towards Namco Bandai.
