THIS IS A TRIUMPH

I have the cracked beta, but this is too awesome.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNn

I saw the demo for this a while back. It seemed rather simplistic. Might buy it anyway at that price.

that means you have to get steam to get it?

is there going to be a standalone?

Err..steam is free and, more importantly, awesome. Why not just download it?

Is this good?
Would it play on an old as fuck laptop?

The ability to put our own mp3s in a music rhythm game is a winner to me, as I have a very particular musical taste...

Yeah, the graphics are very basic, but they still look nice as they are well stylized. My favorite thing about it is that the speed of the track changes as the song gets faster/slower.

davepoobond: Well, you're missing out, then.

I haven't seen the system requirements, but I can't imagine that they're very high.

Will the game crash if i play it with Autechre?

Tekno tried the beta with Photek, I've tried it with Tech-step and Glitchcore.

It actually makes the game all that much more challenging and interesting.

I think the most important part of this news story is that Audiosurf will be the first Steamworks game released, supporting achievements. I gotta say I'm impressed with how quick that happened, since the Steamworks announcement was so recent.

But yeah, Audiosurf is an awesome game, and totally worth the $9.

actually, i wouldn't mind a standalone either. i especially play audiosurf alot when im not around any internet connection, and despite all of steam's progress, its handling of online/offline is still messy and i'd rather want to jump straight into the game as fast as possible ;d

I'll pre-order tomorrow, for sure.

# Play with any music from your own collection--the game supports MP3s, iTunes M4As, WMAs, CDs and OGGs
# Valve's The Orange Box Original Soundtrack is included.
# Online scoreboards for each song you play.
# Choose your strategy from 14 available characters.
# Track your progress as Steam Achievements.

Just booted to Windows specifically to preorder. Now to start meticulously making a list of songs to bring over from my iTunes...
