I had a white out problem that was solved by restarting the computer. For some odd reason, some necessary files were being used by another program (a previous instance of Audiosurf?), thus preventing the game from using those files to render the track.

The absolute greatest thing about this game is that you can choose your own music. I don't have to buy a game and then play fallout boy, or aerosmith, or whatever. I can sit here and put in Minus the Bear and Kevin Gilbert and have a fucking hell of a time even if the songs aren't really designed for this kind of game(MTB is, but they're for everything)

I suggest Tiesto to you guys if you haven't tried him. Too bad State of Trance is all I have of Armin Van Buuren. If I could get that Big Sky track he loves so much that'd be cool
 
i think you should be able to order it by each character as well as overall for each difficulty :P

they already seemingly have an interface for it -- you should just be able to click the character that is lined up along the bottom there

The fact that you're not close to the top because you've played a song by "dragon force" instead of a song by dragonforce.
 
Out of the very, very small selection of Brawl music I've played, Pikmin World Map and Mona Pizza were both great fun.
 
you guys should tag your music before playing the game. it'd just make it better for everyone involved.


musicbrainz is a good tagging lookup database
 
I'd get this but I just don't have much music on my laptop at any given time (60gb drive :lol ) The demo was sweet though.

Is there any limit to song time? And can the game deal with internet radio streams?

Yup. Something about the tracks becomes less and less accurate as time goes on.

There MIGHT be a patch some day in the future that fixes that issue. Until then, if you want to surf to 1UP Yours, you'll have to break it up in Audacity or something.
 
Anyone figure out the 7 note bonus achievement? Says you need to have atleast one set of 7 blocks in the song, I do it everytime for the 7% and it never says I did it. Piece of crap :(

Are you sure you're not accidentally (well not accidentally) getting the 11 or 21 block bonuses? You can only have 1 of the three, and having a higher one takes precedence over the lower one.
 
ok... i installed the demo and really want to play but... no blocks on the road. i choose my music, the games starts and the road is completely empty. anyone got the same problem and can help me out? thx
 
anything wrong with the scoring at the moment?

I made a good run on Mono without hitting any grey block, but didn't get the clean finish bonus. After that I did another song and hit a grey block and there I got the clean finish bonus. *confused*

Clean Finish bonus is if you end the song with *no* blocks left over at all. Stealth bonus is what you get if you don't hit any grey blocks.

How the hell are people getting the achievements ? All of my music is too fast to see wtf is going on or too slow to even get points :lol . Man this is annoying, But the game still kicks major ass.
 
The mono ninja is pretty damn hard, can't do a clean run so far.


Any idea if this is coming to XBLA and PSN? I feel bad for people who aren't getting it now on Steam, it's pretty amazing. I think this game is going to be on the 1Up Show next week if it isn't clogged up with GDC news, seems perfect for the show.

Anyone try the NeoGAF G.A.M.E. music?

Someone tried Fight For Freedom on the beta last month and said it was awesome.

Rave On blew my mind on Pro. Must be fucking brutal on Elite.
 
Bah, just tried to play it and got the BSOD. I'm currently reinstalling my sounddrivers as that could be the problem, but I can't seem to download any faster than 8 kB/s :(

I hope it works.

Agree to Disagree, I think the best part about the game is losing yourself in the music.
 
Tried the demo. Pretty cool game, but can't see how I personally would stick to it after a while.

Tried a hardstyle track with a very clear beat (The Beholder Meets Zany - Fear Reigns Today), and I was pretty surprised how well the game clicked to the beat of the track.

Love that song, had a go at cracking top in casual but was 3 grand short.
Too bad the double kick don't destroy you in the game like in the song :/

tons of fun though, just wish I had more slower songs to do those long achievement songs :S
 
I really need to get fraps or some other video capture software so I can make a video of playing this insane ff6 song. I'm way too shitty to play ninja mono, but anything on pro (except the double vision guys) are doable, and that track is insane for any game type.
 
Well, because of this thread I downloaded the demo and bought the game right after the demo stopped working. Gotta love the weak dollar =P

It's really fun testing different songs. Not many share my music taste it seems though, many empty scoreboards. Got to say I prefer mono though. Easier to get into.

On a side note. I just did X Japan's Orgasm (Last Live) version. 18 mins, 292 traffic congestion, and the whole path was just red and orange. Ended up with a silver medal and a score of 381,001. Never again... my eyes are so blurry I am positive I didn't blink once during that damn song.

If the game never had them that'd be different, but I'm used to them now. Without them I feel like it's a waste to play.
