The Ampsuit is making a huge impression - everyone loves it. A ton of people can't wait to see the footage tomorrow. Comments I overheard ranged from "I've got to see this" to "this is as cool as the Owlship last year" to talk about how great a director Cameron is.

If footage leaks from tomorrow I can tell you now I'm not going to watch it. They're showing 20 mins worth of scenes and I for one will not spoil the movie for myself, especially when its pirated 3D which will look like overlapping pieces of vomit.

Apparently there are Avatar toys being displayed at Comic Con.

They may be away from prying eyes (and cameras) but apparently they are there.

I didn't realise that the toys had already been posted in this thread and now having seen them I had no idea they would be so 'cheap and cheerful' looking.

As someone said earlier they really do look like some cheap Chinese knock off. I wonder if it's because they spent all the money on this supposed new technology for the figure bases or whether they didn't have much time to out together the line in the first place but they look hideous.

I'm glad Cameron, in his infinite wisdom, saw it fit that the first exposure most fans will have of the art and design of the Avatar world is through a shitty Ubisoft game and even shittier toy figures. Surely, this too is part of his brilliant MASTER PLAN! :lol

Said this all along. There is something strange (almost fishy) about the way this film has been marketed.

I've never seen a big event film like this handled so bizarrely. Even GI Joe had their character reveals handled better than this. What the hell is going on?

I wonder if Cameron has so much control over the film's publicity that he's basically given Fox no control over their own film.
