Yeah this ep. was pretty good, not much action but great non the less.
I can excuse Panther for not having known about the Skrulls beforehand but hey...he's ready for them.

Fantastic episode, one of the best they've done I think. The extent they went to with the paranoia was great. And they're doing the Secret Invasion Wakanda story? Oh boy oh boy oh boy :D

Isn't that where Wakanda basically just kicks ass?

Pretty much.

I remember when they sent Captain America to Wakanda and he got bodied. (Pre-deep freeze)

Well I think that's how Hudlin had it, when Priest wrote B. Panther, he made it so that Cap and his unit were captured by the Wakandans and Cap managed to convince the Panther of that era) to give him some vibranium.

I think the show is great, but honestly I just despise Skrulls. The whole "anyone could be a Skrull" never really resonated with me. For example knowing that Captain America is a Skrull has hampered my enjoyment of him the entire season.

And yes, the Secret Invasion storyline in the comics was a piece of crap.

This episode was fantastic I thought theres now way this will top young justice aqulad and batfamily episode but it did , the last scene seals the deal so good.

I like how hulks and hawk eye bro's relationship came into play, the writers don't forget nothing and I feel like everything happens for a reason to later come up in the story.

holy shizzel at dat ending son

Skrullllllll!

Hm this show may go on hiatus:
Many discussions have been taking place regarding Avengers EMH (which is ending after this season) and how it could be the reason people are watching Ultimate Spider-man, since it broadcasts prior to the hit show Avengers. To make sure this isn’t the case, there will be many instances where Disney XD will air a new episode of Ultimate Spider-man while putting Avengers: EMH on a short hiatus. (AgentX and many Marvel guys believe that Avengers EMH brings the biggest number of viewers to watch Ultimate Spider-man)

Grain of salt though

Yup, was very pleased to see they haven't forgotten how well those two get on.

Man, it's sad to think we've only get 5 or so good episodes left until the shite begins. :(

This show is so much better then Ultimate Spidey

..i dont get it.
I guess they're gonna pull Avengers for a few weeks to see if Ultimate Spider-Man keeps its viewers, or if people are just watching it because it's on before Avengers.

That could be good news. If pulling Avengers tanks the ratings of USM, Disney might rethink cancelling it.

Even if they did renew it, it wouldn't be the same. Yost moved on to marvel films, and Leob will be overseeing it, slowly turning it into what he thinks kids want.

Wow, if that's true then the people in charge of programming have no idea what they're doing. Either Jeph Loeb is so out of touch with what viewers of all ages want from the Marvel animated features or he just doesn't care. I would have totally written off the 90's Spider-Man series when I was growing up if it had the tone of Ultimate Spider-Man. Then again, Jeph Loeb could be one of those people who gets put in charge, tears down everything so whatever success that comes from his tenure he gets all the credit for.

Not likely. season 2 just started and it has been said they have enough material for at least 5 seasons.

I hope so, I love that show.

Also the only reason I watch USM is because I'm waiting for Avengers EMH to air. So if they are trying to gauge interest by having USM solo weeks, then go ahead, I won't be tuning in to watch. (Although as others said, Avengers EMH getting renewed for another season still won't be the same due to Loeb and Man of Action)

If you want to watch EMH without all the Marvel Block BS, it comes on Sunday night at 1130pm east like a regular program so you don't get all the Fury Files or Marvel Masterpiece crap in the commercials.

Just started watching this on netflix, and now I an reading about the show may not get renewed and it may not be as good with a new person in charge? Lame.

Same, just got back into watching it after I stopped at episode 3. now this.

Though I guess im the only person that really likes USM.

Nah, I've staunchly defended the show. What baffles me is the disdain for standalone episodes. Plenty of awesome DCAU shows did it. The standalone Avengers episodes have been good too.

Don't want it to be solely standalone. I personally enjoy little details and plot threads that come back for viewers who have actually been watching the show.

If this happens, at least I will still have MLP for my character development, foreshadowing, storyline progression and story cohesion fix. You guys should try it sometimes, I can tell by your posts in here that you would like it.

:3

Edit, 'cause Myke pointed out that this could be taken the wrong way: It's not meant to be antagonizing in any sort of way, I was totally serious. I'm a huge EMH fan myself as you may or may not see from my various posts in this topic, and I'm really sure fans of EMH might like MLP, even if it seems odd. You don't have to tell anyone!

Is it bad that I want to cancel my DVR schedule recording of Ultimate Spider-Man while they do this?

USM does this though, yet people still act like it has no story arcs.

Erm, the guy in charge of the latter part of this season has gone on record to say there won't be any story arcs.

Apparently, the initial plan of the new Avengers show consist of only self contained, standalone, episodes as opposed to story arcs, as Loeb has made it very clear that he dislikes TV show stories to run across several episodes. The new Show will be on air by Fall 2013.

Now just imagine the Ultron arc as one episode or the MoE arc as one episode or the...you get the point.

There's having self contained episodes that might contain a few strands of a plot that link into an overall arc is one thing and would be great, but it sounds like the plan is to have standalone episodes where everything is resolved in 20mins.

:/

So not to give anyone false hope...but.......

Mr. Yost was tweeting about who the upcoming episodes were centered around
the RED episode centers around Hulk so i'm guessing Red Hulk shows up and it's 4 more episodes until the invasion reveal

Anywho, today he mentions that he's left that writing job he left EMH for. Didn't mention what he's going to do now..maybe he could come back to EMH before it's too late!

They said he went to work on Marvel movies but Yost to me should be in charge of tv. His success on EMH speaks for itself and he knows to give the viewer short term and long term gratification. He was made to write tv.

Just got through the end of season 1. Wow. I'm so disappointed with how the series is being handled now. Why on Earth would the powers at be fuck up such a good thing? I've been engrossed the entire time. :|

Just have to catch up on season 2. I saw the latest episode when it aired.

USM they have stated no multiple show story arcs(all the cartoons that were action adventure that were successful had one to two multi episode stories).

And another thing is the freaking cutaways during battles. That makes the show drag out and take away dialogue between characters and would make the action sequences better. The show would be good if they removed those.

I thought USM not having any continuation was obvious. 2 episodes ago, Spiderman got the iron spider suit and hasn't used it since.

Well he got it taken away from him again by Fury, iirc. On the other hand, the second Venom episode made clear that the first Venom episode earlier happened. I'm not so sure anymore how serious I should take that whole "no continuity" thing. I might be wrong, but maybe it's just "No 2-parters all the time", but with some overarching plots and stuff (similar to Avengers season one). Then again, why would they make that kind of "announcement" if basically nothing changes.

Oh well, gotta wait and see how it turns out.

There's a spectrum between little to no continuity and carefully planned to story arcs. USM has some continuity but it's clearly not on the level of Spectacular or the 90's cartoon in that regard. It mainly goes for a villain of the week format with some villains potentially recurring every once and a while. They of course may do some stuff with Osborn and Doc Ock later on but as of right now that's just a plot device to keep the supply of villains steady.

Tomorrow at 2 on NickToons, they're running a marvel mini-marathon with random episodes of FF:WGH, Ironman:AA, and Wolverine and The X-Men.

If you've never seen those shows and don't have netflix, this is a good opportunity to see em.

Is the second season of AA up on Netflix?

No..it's still going on. NickToons shows 5 new episodes in a row which are replayed over a 2 month span. Then you get 5 more episodes.

I hate how NickToons is handling AA season 2. The season was going smoothly, airing alongside Voltron Force season 2, then in March they decide to take a break with AA, but not VF. Hopefully the rumor of it coming back in June is true.

It's coming back. I saw a list of upcoming episodes...1 has
Magneto
showing up

That's a repeat. It aired in America already.

wat?! (the last new episode I saw was Hammer buying Stark International)

noooooooooooooooo

That means the last batch of new episodes will finish the season..which might end the series :(

Put him back in charge of Season 3, don't make it about Civil War, and have it be a build up to an epic battle between various Marvel heroes of all types vs. the BIGGEST assemble of villains of the Marvel U. (Loki, Doom, Kang, etc.)
