The wait for this game is tough! :D

Steam has proven to be the best thing since sliced bread.

The PC beta and all that jazz is icing on the cake.
 
Damnit I can't wait for this game. I was lost at first whether or not to get it for PS3 or 360, considering I had the first one for PS3, but I'll probably stick to 360 since that's what the majority of my friends have. I only have one friend with a PS3. :(

I think you can have a serious story but with funny characters... and given that they've carried the characters over, I'm hoping that's what they've gone for. I liked the tone of the first game too, but the part where Haggard yells "there's gold in them there hills!" and starts running while waving his hands in the air made me cringe and spoiled a good part of the SP campaign for me.

Hopefully DICE have found a good balance in BFBC2.

That was one of my favorite parts in BC1. In fact, I can't think of a videogame character in 2008 that I liked as much as Haggard.
 
Hope to god the PC beta makes it onto steam, I prefer to pre-order/buy games digitally off steam. Crossing my fingers..
 
Whatcha guys talkin' about? That looks just as funny and light-hearted as the first game :lol

Also, LovingSteam has been hinting that there's going to be a 4-Pack for this just like there is for Bioshock 2, Left 4 Dead (1 and 2), Borderlands, and Shattered Horizon. Keep your fingers crossed...

Nah, the show gave me the impression of humor also.

I think it's just that the setting changed to be more serious, but without being able to sit and see a few cutscenes, it's not as obvious that the game still has humor at first glance.

i didn't notice when i watched the trailer, but when i saw it again during the GTTV ep, i laughed.

yeah, one of the DICE guys on the show cleared the air up pretty well on that issue. the characters will be the same, but the situation will be more humorous.

I think the official site says the beta offer ends sometime in February. Given the GREAT reception the PS3 beta got, they probably want as many PC gamers as possible to try it out.

Ye, I'm guessing by the time the beta is reaching an end it'll be almost impossible to not get a code.
 
I played the shit out of the first game online, This looks awesome but i was hoping for a new set of weapons. Will there be any new weapons when the full game comes out? All they have on the beta was customizations for those old weapons. copied from the other thread.

BF1943 default rifle is in the game. So that's new.

But it seems like there is mostly the old BC1 weapons + "class customization" for vehicles/skills.
 
Not sure how i feel about the unlocks video. I'm hoping you have to choose unlocks and don't get to keep stacking them.
Yeah, I only played the demo of the first BC
Watching the heli get blown to shit put a smile on my face though.
