Requesting a permanent ban please.

A couple weeks ago I got a ban for making fun of a game where you play as these little animu fairies who secretly cause these (very young looking) girls to have orgasms. I said these kinds of games are targeted at pedos, incels, and shut-ins. Okay, whatever, fair enough.

Then the mod message said something like “the only shut in here is yourself”. Hurrrrr no. Hikikomori and “herbivore men” are a thing, and they’re the audience for these games, like it or not.

Then my tag changed to “tenuously links anime, pedophile and incels”. Uh no. I was specifically making fun of one stupid weeb game, not all anime. The fact that you’d take that as an attack on all anime says more about you than me.




Anyway this site has gone downhill quite a bit since the big exodus. Maybe single-digit percentage of the activity we used to see around here. I stuck around because I thought the accusations around Evilore were BS. But honestly I don’t get any value out of it anymore.

No, making a public permaban thread is a pretty typical attention whore method. All he or she had to do was either never login again to the site or private message a moderator to ban the account.

There are plenty of incels, shut-ins, herbivores, and others who play these types of games. Many of them have only mildly pedophilic tendencies.

I agree with you that that game is creepy as hell and I’d be side eyeing the fuck outta anyone playing it, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned on the internet it’s that weebs are hypersensitive and protective and don’t take kindly to accusations of incel/pedo. I don’t get weeb culture and tend to just steer clear of it, but I don’t agree with getting banned or tagged over that comment above. That game is super sketchy.

Instead of making a thread for people to come and throw rotten tomatoes at you on your way out, you could’ve just discreetly sent a PM to a mod. Even better, you could’ve posted in the Meta GAF thread asking for clarification. Other people have questioned bans after and the mods have been pretty transparent. At the very least they could undo the tag.

If the story the OP said is accurate it sounds like the mod in question is abusing the role.

That said, this place is 100x better than before the fallout. Then it was an hourly occurence for users to get banned for having a different opinion or political belief from a moderator.

Stories like the OP's are rare now. But, if true, is still not acceptable.

This is what they like to believe and would like others to believe as well. But after the whole Elliot Rodgers thing and reading up on it , watching a lot of youtube videos and even going to some sites I was intrigued by it . This is usually not the case it's really their attitude that puts others off . It seems like a lot of what I've read is that they believe they are owed sex for just being alive . Some believe that by not having sex with them women are denying them their right to use their bodies as they see fit . It's really really out there that I had a hard time believing that people would actually believe things like this but hey ..you never know..

To me they seem to be implying that a vast majority are like that.

Especially they insulted “95%” of any who’s played the game, and that they don’t seem to even entertain the idea that a non-creep could ever play the game, and that someone is a creep by virtue of having played the game.

Sorry to get all logically technical, but this is what we call an Appeal to Consequences. In this case, you're judging a game based on the desirability or undesirability of a possible outcome.

The statement above follows this form of the fallacy: "X is false because if people did not accept X as being false, then there would be negative consequences."

It totally ignores the merits of the game itself and again, just focuses on the character of certain people who play Game X.
