Batman: Arkham Knight New Gameplay Video

I thought Batman didn't kill, so, unless those guys are cyborgs, can someone explain how he can stick some guy's mug through an electrical board and fry his skull without killing him (or getting electrocuted himself as well). As a batman fan it's confusing the shit out of me. Also, rubber bullets from that cannon would kill anyway. Just look at the size of that shit.

i'm not really upset
Batman pretty much kills in all the other Arkham games, they just never address it. Have you seen the stuff he does? He's straight up breaking dude's collar bones and then leaving them unattended for extended periods of time because nobody can get to where everything is going down.

Maybe they're using rest-of-world dates because they're British company and it's coming out on the 6th of February :D

In that case, when it said "to be continued on 12.01.14" after the trailer, they must have meant that we should travel back in time to watch the next trailer.

3

They are all good, altho the 3rd is a bit buggy still.

i thought i read somewhere that (yes theres technically 3) that origins isnt canon with arkham asylum or arkham city... and arkham knight IS. i could be wrong though iono.

nvm im totally wrong:

"We definitely consider it canon," Hill says. "There are things through [all] the games, obviously. They have Barbara Gordon in as well and Oracle plays a very key role in our game. So there are things that are connected, for sure. But the events of Asylum and City are actually nearer to the events of Knight so it's easier to tie in to those events."

I see. Should I play them in order of their release (Asylum > City > Origins) or they're not related at all?
Also, I'm not a fan of old game (Asylum), can I skip it?

Play by order of release, because of gameplay mechanic changes n such. They're all related.

Also, Asylum is essential.

I hope they show ps4 footage soon. It's a little annoying that they can't show us the console versions. It's looking damn good anyway. Wish it could run like this on ps4/x1.
I mean apart from a 30 fps lock and no HBAO+ and PhysX and perhaps a bit lower res shadows and overall lower res the console version should be pretty much similar to this if you're not a hardcore graphics enthusiast like me.

My mind is still trying to come to grips with the fact that was actual game play footage.

I mean.... I...How.....Why...

How in the hell does a game look so good? There is no way that's the PS4 version. That has to be the PC version with DS4 button inputs. Just no way. It's even hard for me to understand how any PC could run a game like that.

Christ Almighty. Rocksteady must have a time machine or stumbled upon alien technology.

Ohhh you have missed quite a bit. Start with the first one, then move to the second and third.

Indeed. After watching several gameplay from the previous games, I'm thinking how did I missed this series from my radar.
I think I was busy with my mmos when this game hits, and I didn't really care about non RPGs back then.

Looks fucking amazing.

Loving the new combat animations. Shadow of Mordor has gotten me worried about input lag, but I should think Rocksteady know what they're doing.

I would recommend playing them in order of release but if you're not digging Assylum, skip to City.

The plot of these games is usually weak at best so it's not such a great concern.

If someone didn't care for Asylum, would it be worth checking out City or Orgins still? I just kinda got bored of it pretty early on.

Dem wet shaders

in fact, visually it kind of reminds me of the Prey 2 demo

Being reminded of this game nicely compliments the disappointment of AK being delayed

Perhaps. In a way, it more of the same, but every facet of gameplay has been improved greatly in Arkham City and Origins (particularly City).

What bored you about it?

It gives you a lot of the toys faster in City and Origins and you have a larger area to explore (open world) rather than a linear interior environment. Combat is more varied and tighter City onwards.

I'm sure the game will be great fun, but I didn't care much for the trailer. The camera was so wildly animated it was hard to make out what was going on, I'm also a little disappointed to see their human models and facial animation are not quite as good as they should be. Still excited though!

i know we all love conroy but he sounds like he's sleepwalking while recording these lines this time. would much rather have had the origins dude tbh.

anyways god damn this is easy GOTY contender. looks so good.

Finally someone who agrees with what I've been saying. Conroy sounds like he is phoning it in. Roger Craig Smith is the best Batman (Arkham Origins), so much passion and depth in that Batman.

Game looks great. This was easily my most anticipated game this year before it got delayed. It's gonna be a long wait till June. Although I think it's a little unfair if this is the PC version using the DS4 button prompts. It's setting up some high expectations for how the game will look on console at release.

If they can get the game at this performance at retail on the PS4 I would be ecstatic. Rocksteady must feel confident this is how the game will look/run at release. I really, really hope it looks/runs like this in the end.

Did you miss that Assassin's Creed Unity "graphical leap" thread?

Unity looks great and that's a team of more than a 1000 people. Games just look amazing nowadays, like Vanishing of Ethan Carter is made by 8 people.

Is that Scarecrow talking to the Arkham Knight in the trailer?

He tells the Arkham Knight he will get his VENGEANCE, so Arkham Knight must be someone Batman already knows perhaps?

Thought this Arkham Knight was supposed to be the new dude on the scene created by Rocksteady.

Or if "new and created" meant they would take an existing character in the Batman universe and disguise him as something new.

Either way, day one.
