Bought the game and played 44 minutes so far, technical issues I've hit:
- The UI and menu font looks bad, like there's no anti-aliasing
- And on that note, the anti-aliasing in the game is either broke or straight sucks
- Telltale jank in scene transitions still exists
- Some UI prompts were missing during a QTE (triggered correctly anyway, thank fuck, that'd be a hell of a bug if it didn't)
- FPS dropped like a stone when I was given free control of movement (and I'm on a 980)
And here's the kicker, when you first gain access to the Batcave, I went to check out the character codex and found the Batcomputer screen would not go away even after technically exiting the menu, so I had to quit the game because I couldn't see shit.
I have no idea what makes this engine 'new', because it sure doesn't look or present itself better than other Telltale games to date. I've not had any problems with Telltale's games on PC until now, so this is fucking disappointing.
As for the game content, I didn't warm up to it immediately but once we started getting into the character interactions, I was enjoying it. Then I hit the issue that caused me to have to exit the game.
Debating a refund and waiting until there's a patch, or even until the series is finished so I can buy it on sale. Have Telltale said anything about PC performance or naw?
