I really hope there is a superman'ish glitch in the game. I loved flying around. The glitch pretty much ruined omaha beach though.

Battlefield 2 had an unlock system (before COD4 did). BF1942 did not.

Not sure about this one, but I am guessing no since BF1942 did not.

Alas, the only statement EA can formally make about a release date is that Battlefield 1943 should hit Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network "this summer." We're hoping to celebrate Independence Day with the game, and are crossing our fingers in the meantime.

Okay now people are speculating it'll hit on the 4th, in honor of Independence Day. While that would be just dandy it wouldn't make a lot of sense, since Independence Day was established after the Revolutionary War, and, y'know, American Independence and not WWII.
