battlefield 4 was good too aside from launch server issues, battlefront 1 right after wasn't great

Thats cool, I would hope for Prequel stuff because then theres a whole host of vehicles and ships for each side to use unlike the Original trilogy sides which leave the Rebels with not a lot compared to the army of the Empire. I could see Sequel stuff but there's a serious lack of vehicles and such for either side unless Episode 8 is going to be bringing more to the table for both, which would be sweet.

A Dice campaign also worries me a bit.

Prequel era is the one recent time period where you could have a Halo type SP campaign. The war in the Imperial era was far from a huge conflict with immense military industrial complexes fueling both sides. Plus soldiers were just better trained on top of that.

Not prequels but Clone Wars did have the best militaristic lore. I mean, all Empire had was Stormtroopers, AT-AT's AT-STs. Just CIS has much much more than that. Sure, AT-ATs are iconic but riding a Hailfire droid would be something else.

It's nice to have an insane focus on authenticity but I'd rather have a good multiplayer game. Bring back classes!

Right, that's what I mean. They'll make a new KotOR arm on the Star Wars universe. Not just go "oh this dusty ass old game is canon now even though we could have said this years ago". Same deal as Thrawn got.

That's not enough content. With the prequels you have so many locations, weapons, and vehicles to choose from.
