Bruh, they're trying to sell a game not give kids nightmares
Lol, obviously they would probably cute-fy the puppetry a bit, the same way they did for Yoshi and Kirby's respective yarn games.

They could have even experimented with a stop-motion look. Again it's like they took a half-measure here so everything but the characters looks well enough.

Hey man, I would have loved the stop motion idea, would have really given the art style something unique. This looks great for the most part, but man I'd love it if they went that route instead. Good thinkin there.

Furries/Smash players hating it is a bonus.
I'd agree on this a thousand percent, but I gotta admit that I'm surprised to hear that furries are disliking it, is that true? I figured the whole bit about the avatar thing where you can talk as one of em would have hit with them, surprising they don't like it.

I'm interested, but the characters look tired and old. Like they don't even want to be there. Actually, they look depressed

Are you talking about James McCloud's squadron from the prologue? Because I'm honestly impressed by how fucked up and old Nintendo made James and Pigma look. Just broken middle-aged men like the rest of us.

Best looking Nintendo game to date, in my opinion.

Can't wait for this, and also to see what Nintendo cooks up graphically as the generation progresses.

Starfox and Halo are easily my favorite series, hence the name. This game cartridge will live in my Switch 2 for an unhealthy amount of time.
Kinda funny we're getting remakes of Star Fox 64 and Halo CE this year. And it's also sad that I'm more excited for the 3rd remake of 64 than the 2nd remake of CE 😅

Looks amazing

Debating whether I should replay the original before diving in

This game dominated a huge part of my life when it first came out
If you have a PC, play this:

60fps is a game changer for this game since it originally ran at like 20fps on the N64. I have an ultrawide monitor too, which made it an incredible experience.

He's mad

Can you imagine if somebody like Sony made this as he suggested?

They'd replace space combat with intersectionality workshops where Fox, surrounded by purple-haired Cornerian activists and a nonbinary Falco discovering their truth, must unpack systemic oppression before anyone is emotionally ready to fight Andross.
We must be better foxes.

Switch 2 is building a decent library at good pace.

Also, is this $50?

Thats cool. Hopefully all their unique games launch at that. Keep bigger franchises at $70.

Maybe I don't have the nostalgia for this (Star Fox in general was never a big thing in Europe), but looks just ok (it's hard to impress considering how mobile games are capable right now) if totally uninspired in its core idea. How many SF64 reruns do we need at this point exactly?

Funny thing, if Sony announced it people would scream about remasterstation.

Very pleasant surprise. Never played 64 but the original was an all time favourite.

Seeing this make me pine for what could have been with the Panzer Dragoon remakes.

This does look insane, and to be honest Star Fox 64 is by far the best title in the franchise, it had a remake on the 3DS, but this is on a whole new level. The inclusion of a level select is day one for me.
