Now we're talking. I don't think we'll see GTA IV before 2028 and I don't want these guy's on it anyway. Too big a project.

LCS/VCS would be perfect. I could finally play. Might even try Chinatown. Bully, The warriors and manhunt all worthy contenders.

Guessing Rockstar won't let them touch GTA again, ever. Based on their more recent titles, it looks like it could be another entry in the ARK series.

Would love a LCS and VCS remaster though, but doubt we see it.

I'd be super happy to see it, the PSP Stories games were some of my favorite GTAs (too bad there was never a third, GTA SAS could have been great given how much land in the old San Andreas wasn't seen much by a lot of players.)

However, I don't think it would be Grove Street doing it if it ever happened, Rockstar pulled them from updates to GTA Definitive. (Although I'm always curious if the fuck-ups on that were really the dev or if R* just nickel-and-dimed it and took it away to ship it unfinished? Release quality is always the publisher's responsibility so I lean towards the latter.)

Also, if it was another PS2 remaster, they would for sure have Switch or Switch 2 in the slate, even in this mid-production state.

This will not be another Rockstar project, their relationship with this studio is pretty much dead after this and the last batch of updates the trilogy got were made by other developers.
I'd be very very surprised if Rockstar ever tried to deal with these people again after the disaster that was the demaster trilogy.

GTA Trilogy is one of the worst remakes I ever played, it's already years since release and it still runs like ass and KBM controls are terrible. There's an aggressive vertical auto-center if you play with KBM which is very disorienting. Sprint speed is so fast, you can literally overtake cars by running. Game looks like some highschool Unreal asset flip. I have refunded it twice.

Double 11 however did an excellent job with the RDR1 port, DSR 2.25x, DLAA and it looks sharp, clean and crisp. Truly an amazing experience.
