Looks like exactly like the cartoon

Was the live action jungle book like this? Exactly the same as the cartoon? The shots shown in this trailer look like they were trying to match shot for shot almost

Both Jungle Book and Cinderella similarly were really pretty but felt skin-deep. I don't think they've or will have the lasting appeal as the animated films they're based on, nor does it feel like they're trying for that (this one almost being line-for-line based on the cartoon from what little we see in the trailer), and so...what's the point of these besides promoting the actresses and actors for about 15 minutes?

For the previous live-action films: They were okay and I liked them when I watched it, but if the over-arching question asked is "would you re-watch it?" the answer is probably no.

Anyways. All that aside, I'll probably watch the new and improved Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson (a well-known feminist playing in one of the best-known Stockholm Syndrome stories lol), but after I can see myself turning back to the version where the living housewares don't look so creepy.

Only roughly I would say. The live action movie actually brought interesting angles to the characters and story which is why I think many people were pleasantly surprised.
Movie was actually kinda dark with vicious looking fights. JB gave me hope that Lion King will not suck.

But TBF, from the trailer I thought JB would be a waste of time as well.
Then again I don't like BatB and refuse to watch it in full to this day.

This looks basically shot for shot and line for line from the original. Man... I could have written this screenplay. Does Disney need one for a Labyrinth remake? I'll whip that out in 2 hours.

Jungle book was pretty well loved when it came out. Reviewers loved it as do cinema goers

I thought jungle book was great. You have to remember mowgli is the only real character in that whole movie and what they did with the cgi and story telling was amazing. That villian was also damn great. Amazing movie. Terrific from start to finish.

If Disney continue with this strategy at least we can take comfort in the fact there's a good chance the Star Wars prequels will be remade in a decade. Hopefully from scratch.

Not sure if Emma can pull off the right mannerisms for the innocent and naive yet smart Belle in the town before going to Beast. Hope she can

Strange choice to fragrantly show off all the Beast's servants as humans on the poster, but then again... if they have an A-List cast I guess they want to show them off to get people into theaters.

Interesting to see Gaston looking uncharacteristically subdued.
