I guess they skimped on the beast cgi cause he looks awful in a lot of those shots. Extremely fake and I can't help but notice it.
Everything else looks pretty good besides that

Luke Evans is a boss. He'll be a good Gaston. That hair looking kinda wack tho

Eh movie looks very faithful to the cartoon which I loved. But I don't really get excited for these live action Disney flicks. Don't really see the point in them.

Hopefully it's better than jungle book and Cinderella at least. I liked this cartoon more so it's got that going for it.

The trailer grabbed me at the start with the music. I thought the visuals were good, and the casting is pretty solid.

I just might have to be their guest.

There's nothing wrong with it. There's just no need for it. BATB is a strong movie in almost all ways. I'm worried the pacing- which is so good in the cartoon- will be ruined for this.

Sidenote-i've seen the Beauty and the Beast play. Every addition they make to run up the length adds nothing and sticks out. Although the guy playing Beast had a much higher, nerdier voice, making him come off almost like a spoiled nerd character. It didnt ruin it, actually.

The Cg Beast looked really bland. I was hoping a nice mix of makeup and CG. He looks too streamlined silhouette wise and flat.

Of course this all from a 2 min trailer, so what do i know.

Everything looks terrible. I thought I'd like Emma Watson but eh... The beast looks horrible. The supporting cast looks like shit. Disappointed.

Everything looks great other than Beast.

Lots of people are complaining about his CG, but I'm just underwhelmed by the design. They could have a little more fun with it, especially when contrasted against the brilliant one seen in the animated classic.

That said, I'm super excited for this!

Oddly enough the animated Beast looked more terrifying -

I know which I'd be more afraid to face. Some not so great cg around the eyes, and I'm not sold on Lumiere, but everything else looks great.

Should have been a WWE movie. Bailey as Belle, Brock Lesnar as Beast, Triple H as Gaston.

That aside, I kind of hope they'd stick with the dark and creepy tone in the beginning of the trailer. I know that's not the case, but it's what I want. Mostly I really like that music piece in the beginning. Also Beast wigs me out. His face is too human.

I don't get it...
It looks to be the exact same film.
Depending on how you look at it, that could be a good or bad thing.
You may end up with trash like Maleficent.
Wasn't it the same with Cinderella? I think it will be nice for kids who don't know the story yet but overall it will probably be forgotten rather fast.
Cinderella was pretty faithful to the original movie all things considered but they added their own "twist" to the live action movie.

As for the trailer. I liked it. Music is going to be marvelous.
CG stuff looks rough but they still have time to fix that. I'm cautiously optimistic about it.

The only thing it's bringing to the table are dollar bills.

I sorta hate Disney's new direction.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I'm down if there's room for improvement like Jungle Book but these are purely for the bottom line. In a way I feel like the need to make a remake cheapens the original, especially when you take into account how the studio has handled traditional animation in the last decade. It's a shame since the original is a great film in it's own right; being animated doesn't make it not as legitimate.

At least we get Alan Menken back in the process.

instead of playing it straight like all these other boring ass disney films they should really cast dave franco as Eric and go more on the comedy angle.

I honestly don't get the point of these live action Disney remakes when they go for the same beats especially. It just seems like fanservice (and cash grabs from fans) than something fresh to be excited about.
