Ben Affleck Is The Best Batman Ever

Affleck did a great job with what he was given but it's one of my least favourite interpretations of the character. He has some very good moments but imma go with RedLetterMedia's name for him: Murderman.

I'm inclined to agree... But I'm also inclined to wait before making such proclamations.

Only because this is the first time we get to see the old, grizzled, I don't give a fuck veteran Batman who has seen some shit. We've never seen that before.

I'll need to see the standalone film before fully forming an opinion on him.

Umm.. no. lol Christian Bale is the best batman ever.

I think you're gonna be alone on this one.

I want to see Ben Affleck in a solo non Snyder GOOD Batman movie before I can make the claim.

He certainly has the goods for it though. It's almost there but man they gotta shake off BvS real quick.

You guys need to at least give Snyder credit for the visceral look of this particular Batman. Yes, it's based of Miller's Batman, but no one else has gone to the extent Snyder has to make Batman look the way he did in BvS.

I guess Gaf's love affair with Nolan and Bale is over now then. Lol

I suspect in a few years time we'd be trashing Affleck's batman when another new kid comes along.

It's a shame that little beauty mark on his face is visible under the batsuite otherwise he would have been perfect.

I know Affleck and Kevin Smith don't really talk much anymore but I wonder if Smith called him up after he saw BvS and was ragging on Affleck for straight up breaking Batman's number one rule?

OT though I really like Affleck as Batman as even with the crap script he did a good job selling the character. I'm actually excited to see what he does once he doesn't have Snyder lording over him.

I think it's not fair to say he's better than Bale already. He hasn't even had a solo movie yet.

But he was great in BvS and I'm left very excited about this Batman and seeing him in his own solo film.

I mean, its not like there's actual competition on the live action side. Every Batman has been terrible, só its not high of a bar to pass.

Yeah he definitely is the best on screen batman. Batman is goofy af in the Nolan trilogy. His mouth and speaking was really off putting.

Yes. He is amazing. The best live action Batman of all time. I cannot wait for him to star in a good Batman solo movie ( hopefully directed by Affleck himself )

Umm.. no. lol Christian Bale is the best batman ever.

No. Not even close.

Nah, there was nothing to like about his version of the character. His acting was decent but I just didn't give a shit about Batman or any of the other dickheads in this movie. He looked good punching people in his suit but he was a psycho with absolutely no sense of humour. Bale's take is still the best, his portrayal makes you believe in the ideals of Batman and makes you feel for him. Affleck's version is just a monster. If Superman had broken his neck I wouldn't have cared.

There's a difference between the better Batman and the better films.

But I can't see Affleck pulling off what Bale did in the better Batman films, so for me, that makes Bale the better Batman.

Affleck was decent, but the movie was such trash that it's hard for me to view his performance very favorably. If the standalone Batman movie is great, then I could change my mind.

Conroy is best and will more than likely never be beat. But Ben is already the best live action easily. He just felt like Batman.

I agree. I was worried before I saw the movie but I totally see it now. I hope the majority of what the Blu-ray will add is batman.

Bale had the better Bruce Wayne (toned down Patrick Bateman, feigned stupidity), Affleck has the far superior batman. The voice alone puts him leagues ahead. Suit is a lot better too. TDK/TDKR version was too sleek, not intimidating at all.

I thought Ben was great as both Bat and Bruce. I wasn't fond of him outright killing goons, but appreciated the brutality. Batman should be like in the Arkham games: beat them bloody, break their bones, scare the crap out of them, but don't kill them.

Bale's definitely the better Bruce at this point but he's had three films that revolved around his character so it would be a bit worrying if he wasn't.

I liked what we got off Affleck as Bruce in BvS but it's too early to compare them in that regard yet. When he's in the suit, there's no real comparison for me.

To be fair, the Nolanverse fit the film so well, because it was meant to be sleek and allow quick movement. I mean the BvS costume is my favorite live action costume to date, but it wouldn't fit in the Nolanverse at all.

Like BvS or not, he killed it.

That's the biggest problem with Ben's Batman though, he killed a LOT of it, and Batman isn't supposed to actively kill anything, it's like core to the entire character.

But Ben did good with the script he had to work with. Except for that one aspect to his Batman I'd agree he is the best movie version of Batman.
