Nth Killing Floor 1/2, Tripwire are the best when it comes to guns that feel good to shoot (and ESPECIALLY their shotguns). I haven't played a lot of KF2, but in KF1 the vast majority of my time was as support because the shotguns were absolutely fantastic. Hunting shotgun, AA12, combat shotgun, they all pack an incredible, visceral punch.

I'm not sure about the absolute worst, but Overwatch is definitely up there. Reaper almost feels like he's dual-wielding handguns, they feel so wimpy.

Every shotgun in Destiny.

utter garbage after repeated nerfing to the point where they are completely ineffective beyond melee range.

Best shotgun, hard to think of any as developers like to make them complete trash, but the sancti Tigris in Warframe is pretty good.

As is the khom.

Shotguns in Destiny are still great

The hunting shotgun with all of its mods from Fallout: New Vegas. The moment I got this gun, it pretty much carried me the rest of the game and subsequent games after. It's so satisfying to shoot and send enemies flying.

The gnasher in Gears of War is the definitive shotgun in gaming. Nearly all online play in all of the games revolves around it.

My favorite is the Force-a-Nature from Team Fortress 2:

Small gun, but packs a punch. I love sneaking up behind enemies and quickly unloading a clip into their back. You can also triple jump with this gun.

Man, MW2's shotguns were such an awesome step up from the cruddy ones in CoD 4, both in quantity and quality.

The Akimbo rangers are the GOAT Call of Duty weapon for me. Loved those things.
