Best Buy Black Friday Ad.

Wonder why Best Buy won't let me choose In Store pickup? We have plenty of copies in there of The Evil Within...<_<;

I'm just doing it because it will still be quicker than Dec 12'th.

I'm just saying you're risking it not being available at all and you end up with nothing. There's no guarantee you'll get it if you do in store pick up where as you will get it if you have it shipped. The 12th is a worst case scenario and and in all likelihood, you'll get it sometime next week.

im assuming they wanna keep store stock available for the people going in tomorrow

with that said.... these sales + GCU is so awesome. for many years I have relied on all my BF videogame purchases thru amazon via lightning deals. Never thought I would be doing it all thru best buy. GCU is so good

I learned a trick tonight. Buy something for in store pick up. Doesn't matter what it is, just as long as it brings you over the $35 qualification. Then don't pick it up. You'll get The Evil Within shipped to you for free. The total order has to be over $35, but that doesn't mean everything has to ship.

Does this really work? They'll return the money for the item you don't pick up, and won't later charge you for the shipping for the game?

Well maybe I will still go there even though I'm off. Picking up the $200 Panasonic TV would be nice but there were people already camping out when I got off.

appreciated. it makes me go to their shitty website to log in though, so it appears that it's not happening tonight.

Yep. If you don't pick up an item within 8 days, the item gets canceled and the money goes back to your card. They won't retroactively charge you for shipping either. The other option you can do is order something you don't want, and return it when it arrives. In either case, you'll qualify for the free shipping without any obligation to keep the dummy item. It's just easier to do an in store pick up cuz you can ignore it and do nothing rather than having to go and actively return something. Think of it this way, say you bought $35 of stuff online, it shipped and then you returned everything back to the store. They're going to give you a full refund and not a refund minus the shipping.

so get this - i don't have a smartphone.

Most every modern browser has a User Agent extension. In Firefox I just switch the agent to iPhone and...voila...every site thinks I'm mobile. Also helps to earn 10 bonus bing rewards points a day via mobile without a phone.

yeah Im thinking all games with BF deals dont have in store pickup. As mentioned above, probabaly keeping stock for actual shoppers. And prob to keep unnecessary traffic out of the store. They already have our money anyways.

Thanks! Did it for Wolfenstein! Appreciate the tip.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it. Figured it might be worse than the $200 refurbished and games but I wanted all of those tbh, so why not lol.

Yeah I just pulled the trigger. Not sure how long the free shipping is going to take but I wasn't going to pay those ridiculous shipping prices.

There is a mobile link on the bottom of desktop site.

THANK YOU.

The desktop site was being unresponsive. No confirmation email, but the order does show up in my account.

Nevermind, got my confirmation email. G502 and Steam $50 eta Dec. 12th.

Wouldn't let me use my card at the checkout, so I added it to be saved to my account for faster checkout.

Then when I go to order that is not an option anywhere(to use my saved card on file) and when I try to type in my card it says because it is on account, I can't use it.

What a broken mess.

any chance of any of these places having deals on Dragon Age inquisition or GTA5 ps4 versions?
or am i just dreaming :/

B2g1 on used games at Gamestop and BB. BB doesn't list either game used on their site so you can't even see if your local store has it without going in. My local Gstop has both used but no 3rd game :/

Alright, got through and ordered Diablo III and Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition. Used $25 in reward certs from MCC/Unity preorders, plus rewards earned from trade-ins. Used gift cards to pay off the balance, and still have enough left over to preorder Witcher and Arkham Knight after I roll the GTAV preorder $10 reward cert to Witcher, and the Witcher's preorder reward cert to Arkham Knight. Damn, I love GCU.
