I managed to secure my preorder at EB Games though, just in time too. But yeah in regards to the Launch pick ups for preorders, I'll break it down for everyone.
Preorders are likely going to be cut off sometime soon as well from Best Buy, that can be certain, especially since there's no limit to the number that can be preordered by an individual (had 2 resellers actually preorder 3 each individually). And due to the Wii U launching the week of Black Friday and doubtful of any sign of an immediate shelf restock within that same week, unites will be put on definite hold JUST for black Friday, but this will likely be a universal retail thing because that's just how retail works. we might end up having more in the instore warehouse, but they probably wouldn't even key it into the system until day before black Friday, just to make it appeal, even in the inventory system, that we're out of stock.
To make a long story short: Even if you preorder, you still have about an 80% chance of getting one launch day, if anything we usually receive systems a week before launch, so although we are told never to give exact numbers for inventory, if you show proof of preorder, most of us Gaming associates are pretty chill and will usually pull up preorder totals for our store and match it up to hard counts.
