Not necessarily. It's also pretty unfair to use such a generalising statement such as "....that most character designs of women in video games are overloaded with tits and ass". It's possible to cosplay as someone like Anya Stroud from Gears of War (a respectable female character) and still have them considered attractive/hot and yet, she isn't loaded with tits and arse.
Beside, I guarantee people like Jessica Nigri/Aime Lyn/Yaya Han/Vampy Bit Me(personal fave) don't play off their looks anyway, which isn't a bad thing.

The detailing is top notch and her costumes never have a cheap, fudged detail that makes you think she cut a corner somewhere. (She does do a lot of very NSFW stuff, so be careful if you search.)

I'm not saying a woman in a video game can't be respectable if she is overly sexualized in her design---the actual design compared to the character's personality/story/whatever can be quite far apart from one another. All I was defending are those here who were posting female cosplayers, as many seemed to think they were only posting because of tits and ass. I'm saying it is hard to post one without because the character designs themselves for many (such as Ivy from Soul Calibur) are loaded.

I think 1 of these cosplays is amazing. The other is shit. It has nothing to do with the person, so much as the (1) costume and (2) focus of the picture. One of these seems to care a whole lot more about the body than it does the costume and the person wearing it.

Usually you'd have to get a Spidey suit design on Photoshop (therpf.com Marvel section), send it to a fabric printing service (Fabric On Demand) and get it sewn up. Then you'd have to get lenses.
