calorie counting is insane
for the rest of your life you count the calories on every single thing that you eat

Solid advice, but the bolded isn't set in stone, like with intermittent fasting for example.

Do low carb and high fat or high carb and low fat. Never eat carbs with fat.
Plus exercising. Cycling is good. Forget gyms and weight training. Aerobic fitness is the Shit.
For some reason lately I've been eating a huge lunch and that's it. It's not on purpose, that's just the only time I get hungry. :/ Probably not very good for me though.
Just ordered a slab of beef jerky.
I switched over to flavored sparkling water in an effort to be even healthier, usually get these from walmart.Question: zero calorie / diet sodas. No bad weight-drop side effects to these?

Eat healthy 90% of the time and workout. Check the scales next week and if you haven't lost anything, workout harder. Simple.
You don't need complex diets or strategies, especially if you are an out of shape beginner.
ooo interesting. The program seems very similar to keto diet though

All those weirdo diets are bad for you and you'll never keep up on it OP. Exercise is more important than diet anyhow, I lost a bunch a weight a few years ago and have been able to keep it off despite having donuts and McDonalds as staples of my diet.
Just try to stay away from carbs and especially sugar when you can. Like go for another burger over ice cream you know? Add butter to shit instead of added sugar. And like even then go for more fish and especially eggs. Just eat eggs all the time. Cheese sucks. Use spices and oils to make food taste better when you cook at home. Don't buy snacks.

I don't know what I'm doing then. Maybe if you're running super slow/fast walking and not weight lifting?Sorry, but I highly disagree.
Diet is much more important that exercise. You can not out run a bad diet.
However, diet & exercise do go hand in hand.
