HELL YEAH! Finest answer right there.
(although the sequel is better)
Dog's Life.
Okami of course.

Tokyo Jungle is my pick:

Seeing a tiny dog (eventually) take down a horse or crocodile never gets old.
We really need a new Sim Ant.
He's not green, though. At least not in that image.
Tokyo Jungle
Rachet & Clank
Tokyo Jungle
Tekken (Kuma and Panda)
Mabinogi would be my pick. It's an MMO but you can login as one of your pets to play as.

They have their own skillsets and show a thought bubble instead of a speech one when talking. Nice touches.
The best little touch is if you draw a Blossom circle around an NPC they'll run over and pet you.Suspect it's been said, but just came by to post Okami.
In addition to its being one of my top 3 games of all time, it just does a fantastic job of putting you in the paws of a wolf. They nailed everything, from the movement, the interaction with people, all the way down to the little incidental animations (e.g., the way Ammy lies down and goes to sleep if people talk for too long).
Actually, this is probably the only game I've played that wholly worked at getting me invested in the animal mindset.
RIP. The best.
