I immediately thought of Mad Max, the sand storms were particularly well done:

I don't know if impressive is the word, but ReCore had a super satisfying "fliff" of sand that kicked up when you trailed your foot boosting along the ground.

HOLD UP a dude is asking for water in the middle of a sandstorm and then he gets knocked out by debris?!

I don't know if that's a glitch that this NPC is acting like there isn't a sandstorm and not running the fuck away, but it's hilarious!

There's no real good gifs of the sand effects in Spec-Ops, but yeah they're impressive. I also like how sand factors into gameplay in multiple ways through the game in both tactical, obstacle, hazard, and simply aesthetic ways.
