Bethesda E3 Showcase, June 12th, 7:00 PM

I hope the people saying ES6 aren't getting their hopes up, there is no way they could show anything substantial at the conference.
They won't be bringing it up at all. That game won't be talked about before late next year, with a possible release date in late 2018 (at the earliest).

I suspect they're considering it long term, but I don't think they have enough content this year to do it.

Pretty much all their major studios and partner studios just launched a game.

I would expect Square Enix or maybe even someone like Bandai Namco to show up there before Warner for this year.

I think they could pull a conference like Bethesda last year's

Warner Bros Montreal Game
Shadow Of Mordor 2 (or something else by monolith)
A couple of Lego Games
Injustice 2
+ some future games they publish like they did with Dying Light and Witcher 3 in 2015

But yeah, Square is the favorite to take the spot

Hmm, I guess if they're okay with having mostly 2016 games, that would work.

Some of those could be further along than I'm thinking they are, but Warner is a pretty leaky and delay heavy company so I'm surprised we haven't heard anything out of any of them if they're out this year.

That said I could really easily see them having a Spring equivalent to Spring 2015 where they have a bunch of games in a row and it'd be too late to show those off at E3 2016.

The release cycle is fallout 4 dlc. Doom n dishonored 2 Wolfenstein sequel is next year (actor voicing woman said in interview last year) n i bet elder scroll will come later next year after Wolfenstein

It's been 5 years since skyrim.

Well technically it has been just over four, and in that time they have made and just put out a game.
I doubt they are too far along in ES6 and certainly not far enough along to show something at a press conference.

Yeah I agree.
I just hope people aren't getting their hopes up because I really don't see ES6 even being mentioned by Bethesda this year.

The Elder Scrolls VI: Alinor

Believe

It won't be there, I know.

Here's a crazy idea that is actually more realistic than TES VI: The Elder Scrolls Skyrim 2, made by Obsidian. Pachter was right all along!

A pretty oldschool german videogame journalist,Thorsten KĂĽchler, who has been in the industry for over 10 years and has been in leading position in several magazines, said in a recent video game show, that he already knows about a pretty big announcement at this Years E3, where he is highly anticipating peoples reaction.
Wonder if it is related to this (Could also be something completely different, like the NX)

@10:38 (German)

Wolfenstein 2
The Evil Within 2
Doom release date
Dishonored 2 release date
New IP announcement

I predict that at least

Yup wolf 2 announcement is a lock with the fact the actor voicing anya said its due release next year.

Doom is obvious same with dishonored. Evil within is hit and miss.

I expect we will see the reworked prey 2 game as new ip from studio who took it over

Maybe not Skyrim 2, but Bethesda were hinting at a remaster of Skyrim for current gen consoles when they talked about porting Skyrim to their "new" engine as part of the Fallout 4 development process. Todd remained fairly coy when asked if we'd therefore see a Skyrim re-release. It wouldn't be TES6, but it would help plug the gap until 2018.

ES:6 was confirmed for Hammerfell?

More or less, yes. They trademarked "Redguard" in 2011 (not related to the TES Adventures game of the same name) and have been renewing it ever since (which requires proof of work in progress since it isn't commercially available. Zenimax only has two other unused trademarks: Giant Monster News and Starfield. So TES6 is either subtitled Redguard or one of those other two names.

Some historical context:

Oblivion was trademarked in 2002, the year Morrowind launched.

Skyrim was trademarked in 2006, the year Oblivion launched.

Redguard was trademarked in 2011, the year Skyrim launched.

They always start pre-production as soon as they release a game in the series. It's why they said at E3 last year that Fallout 4 had been in development ever since Fallout 3 released 7 years prior, even though Skyrim had been keeping them busy as well. They'll say something similar when they eventually announce Redguard, but it won't be this year.

Serious question to insider or people in the know: Has there been any trademarks or rumors or comments that bethesda has made that they are doing ANYTHING at all with the Quake IP?

I'm looking forward to seeing Dishonored 2 footage and the almost inevitable reveal of a new MachineGames project, but what I'd be most excited to see is a new action game from Tango. Mikami seems to alternate between action and horror projects and I prefer the former. The world needs a big budget followup to the RE4-Godhand-Vanquish lineage...

Not expecting Doom to show up except for a brief thing about how the game is doing and maybe a DLC announcement. It'll probably come out in May.

I did not expect them to do another press conference this year. They must have a 'big' announcement, so I'm going to go with a 5 second teaser trailer of Elder Scrolls 6.

And Todd Howard will make a stage appearance one way or another.

Hard to believe it would be ES6 unless there are multiple teams at BGS now. Would likely also mean Todd Howard isn't directing, for better or worse.

Didn't think they would do this again this year. Glad they are though.

I can see Skyrim 2/ remaster or new Elder Scrolls being the main focus like fallout 4 was. With Dishonored 2 and doom release dates.

They have more than enough for a good conference.

Doom & Dishonored 2 full PR blowout

Fallout 4 DLC

Few random small stuff (TES Online)

Announcement of new games from Tango and Machine games

Wild card - Uveil of game made by 2nd Arcane team (what Prey2 morphed into)

Didn't they only hold a conference last year because of Fallout 4? Seems unnecessary this year unless they have something decent to announce.

I want them to show ESVI so badly.

If they release it at the end of the year that would still be 4 years between each release, which is reasonable I think, they didn't have to build a new engine this time around; well I assume they didn't.

Fuck, even the thought of a new soundtrack makes me giddy, and the mods, there will be so many mods.

Unless I missed something - Bethesda aren't a two-team studio. They have a core dev team of around 100 people who work on one title at a time (Elder Scrolls or Fallout). As such I have serious doubts they'll even mention ESVI - they just released Fallout 4 and haven't even released the first chunk of DLC for it yet. I have no doubt that sectors of Bethesda have been working on the next Elder Scrolls since the conceptual work for Fallout 4 was completed, but they probably only just last year hit full-speed ahead on development for it as FO4 entered the polishing phase.

But hey, for all I know things have changed and they've increased their team size since Skyrim and can get ESVI out in shorter time than expected.

Lol at everyone saying TES6. The idea that they could announce that so soon after F4 is insane. But on the off chance it is announced I'll eat my words, and happily since I love TES.

Can't be bothered to quote everyone, but I assumed they were large enough to work on multiple games at once. Didn't know the same team worked on both games.

Was thinking this. Want another ES badly, but they'll milk F4.

Cool cool, I loved their last showing. I didn't even end up buying Fallout 4, but that conference was, and I don't use this word often, hype. Kudos to them, cool to see another publisher stand up with the big guys.

Damn. I wonder if, more than having a ton to announce, that the major third-party publishers are just seeing better visibility returns on having their own separate venue rather than a folding into E3 Day 1; Nintendo, Bethesda, and now EA are all having dedicated events outside E3's opening press day.

i would be shocked if we saw anything Elder Scrolls related though, seeing as how they've said they really like the format of having a short turnaround from reveal to launch, and I don't see the game coming out this Fall when we don't have any details on any of the Fallout DLC yet. Looking forward to seeing more of Dishonored 2 though!

I hope they have a presentation like last year where they had fewer core announcements/games to discuss but everything was given plenty of time to strut its stuff.

I almost fully expect new games from Tango and Machine at this conference.

The next ES game will be using the same engine as FO4, so get your bitching out the way now so we can get a thread about the game and not about how much better you could make the series.

Man who stepped on your toes.

Its perfectly logical to be sceptical of Bethesda regarding a next Elder Scrolls if Fallout 4 is any indication of how that game turns out.
