At the end of that music file there is the perfect lull for Ron Perleman's line.

To be fair, the survivor2299.com site still screams fake to me.
Wrote this a couple of days ago but since this floated off the front page I didn't bother but saved it just in case. Since then they've turned off SSH (point 1)
1. Global SSH connections were turned on on the server until a couple of days ago, meaning anyone on the internet could try to SSH to the server. This doesn't make sense at all, it's the equivalent of turning Remote Desktop on on a Windows Server and allowing the whole world to try usernames and passwords all day long. The only time you'll see this in web hosting is due to one of three reasons:
a) Someone in admin forgot to turn it off which is a rather massive oversight, it shouldn't be on by default on public, corporate webservers like this. For every other Bethesda server it's turned off.
b) It's on a host that doesn't allow SSH restrictions via IP address, which if you own the servers, racks firewalls etc is extremely weird, or people connecting to it via SSH are on a dynamic IP address, which again doesn't make sense for hosting for a larger company. You would see this is small environments (shared hosting etc, which is most likely what this is - more on this in a bit.)
c) It's being left on so people can log into it (perhaps in an ARG?) This doesn't make sense, you wouldn't use SSH for these connections (you'd run a telnet server or something HIGHLY separated out.) If you want to use SSH someone would most likely root your server in a matter of minutes if you gave them access credentials.
The fact that this has changed and since been locked down means it's not (c), I still highly doubt it's (a) though, oversights like this have been known to happen, but it's pretty much the first thing you'd do if you're running a server for a corporate. As for (b) it could be, most common "rent a server here" companies would just leave a box with global SSH until you go and lock it down.
2. That DNS entry means absolutely nothing. Anyone who owns "domain.com" can create "<something>.domain.com" and create an "A Record" (for an IP address) Someone could make "google.microsoft.com" in the microsoft.com DNS and point it to a Google IP if they wanted to.
3. The server start point and it's mysterious migration. Why, when you own servers on the internet and your own IP allocation range, would you set up a server in Poland (using the company "vibiznes pl"), and then mysteriously move it to a server in the US that shows as being in Maryland using a completely different company (reliablehostingservices net). There's only two reasons I can think of:
a) The load on the server was too great for it to handle and you needed to host it somewhere else, so you set up a new server and move it. Fair enough, happens more often than you'd think but the choice of destination is fascinating and completely blows the reason you may have had for setting it up in Poland in the first place, namely to separate it from Bethesda.
b) You wanted to make it look like a Bethesda IP address because someone spotted it was in Poland, so you move it. ("Reliable" own 199.15.248.0 - 199.15.255.255, Bethesda own 199.107.64.160 - 199.107.64.175 and "Reliable" show as being in Maryland when you do a "whois" lookup. If you want to make it LOOK like a Bethesda IP address and you are Bethesda why not actually host it ON Bethesda's network?
I want Fallout 4 more than anyone, it and HL3 top my most wanted lists, considering they registered the trademark I absolutely believe there'll be an announcement at the VGX awards, but I don't believe that site is real in any way.

Technically, it could be any city.....even a European city.
It seems like they go for more iconic cities. DC, Las Vegas. NYC would make sense as would LA. I could see London too.
Personally, I am fine with whatever city they pick. I will shit a brick if it is NYC though.
Or..........perhaps Bethesda knew this would cause lots of discussion and hype? Maybe non-disclosure agreements prevent them from officially announcing anything early so they have to setup something like this?To be fair, the survivor2299.com site still screams fake to me.

The SSH could be so people can find stuff? Only tech savy people because the average user won't know how to SSH into a server much less navigate once they get in.
I wrote the site off too because of the name but the music that was found and I forget what exactly but something to do with Zenimax plus all the new job postings at Bethesda for next gen programmers and quest designers etc. means the game is out of pre production and ready to be announced.
I would bet money the game will be announced at VGX this year. Bethesda consistently has launch or semi close to launch titles of their big franchises.
It's sung by The Carpenters. Strange enough they're from the 70's and not the 50's.
Even asked someone who used to hear them sing.

The fallout mp3: "why do the birds go on singing, oh why do the stars glow above". No version I've heard of this track has that "oh" in that place. Though it could be that it is The Carpenters with a live version or re-recording.
Hmm thats pretty weird and inconistent with the lore.
They usually only put in things before the divergence, so putting in a song from the 70s is pretty odd.
Makes me doubt the site again
The problem with this:
It is basically the same as Fallout 3 intro/trailer. I doubt Bethesda would re-use the scene (not saying it is impossible but...)
Maybe. New vegas did the same thing as fallout 3 (robot burying you pans out to NCR soldier). The problem with this:

Just because the divergence happens in 45 doesn't mean The Carpenters can't exist. Especially this song, since it is apparently a cover. If it helps, 3 and NV had references to hippies.
I don't understand why music would not further develop from the 50's all the way to 2077.They rarely use things after the divergence. I cant think of anything right now. Maybe a gun, but not music or cars or other theme objects

Yeah, but that's mostly because Las Vegas was missed by the nukes.
Washington DC got hit directly, as did a lot of other cities. Also its not really clear how many GECK there are, or exactly how to use them. So I don't think they are going to be in use 30 years after F3

Did you find it from r/Fallout if so it might be a troll post. The reddit user "pooperfucker" who claims to have found it claims he just stumbled upon it by messing with url values on push, some users were reporting there is no possible way to access the link by adding values because it is not a random generated hash value. To add to the suspicion he created the account an hour before posting the audio file and seems to be deflecting questions about he really found it.
I hope I'm wrong because it does sound awesome.
Also for those looking for the song its Patti Page- End of the World
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st7vEOaDiZ0
It would, but not with the same bands as in our timeline. The same reason why the Cuban crisis went right with ours and wrong in theirs. Thats also why there arent any Audi cars or flatscreen TVs even though they were made in 2070

Okay so hold on, now I am home.
The version on the site doesn't sound like The Carpenters. Is this a new cover? If so holy shit.
I'm pretty sure its Patti Page's version of The End of the World.
So that audio is fake. The music from the latter half is this. Also, one of the posters on Reddit said he did it himself (although he has nothing to do with the website).
Saw it coming, Still a well done fake though.
If it's made by Bethesda, which I'm sure it is, then it will most likely have lots of skills taken out and other stuff taken out just like with all Beth Rpg sequels. :/If we take really what was in Fallout 2 as cannon then most of Vaults were just elaborate scientific experiment and most of those Vaults didn't really contain GECK at all.
Both Fallout 3 and Fallout NV looks to take Fallout 2 Vault experiments descriptions and use them to litter those vaults with different kind of design just for sake of it.
This part i didn't like about F2 compared to F1. F1 was bleak where F2 made out of this bleak world kind of crazy alternate universe.
I just hope Fallout 4 is created by Obsidian. Fallout 4 with Betsheda design will be just inferior to Obsidian design especially after Skyrim.
