How's that ironic?LazerShark said:Wasn't BG&E most well-known on the GameCube? It would be ironic that they move more toward the 360 than the Wii.

Requoted for emphasis. You can still make a pre-rendered trailer using the game engine, and therefore try to do a lot more stuff that would normally slow the framerate to a crawl.Shake Appeal said:Important post.
I don't want people overblowing this and backlashing unnecessarily.
But damn if I don't want to dig out my o.g. Xbox and play this again.
You can make bad CG y'know? Not everyone has Pixar quality staff at hand to produce a promo.onemic said:Wow the game looks amazing.
That's 100% not CG. Just look at the screens and you can see some low res textures here and there(The road especially) and aliasing.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the art style compared to the original.AniHawk said:It actually sold the least on the Gamecube of the console versions, not sure about the PC (it probably did better on GC than that).
To anyone bitching that this isn't on Wii... Look, this game wasn't greenlit the time we first got info on it. I think Ancel's making it the way he wants to. If that means he wanted it to be on the PS360, then that means it'll be a better game because it's the way he wanted to make it. My only concerns are that it looks decidedly NOT like Beyond Good & Evil right now, but we've seen nothing but a sliver of the game. I have faith Ancel will deliver, and you should too.
If it's not Christophe Heral, that would be a huge letdown.Teppic said:Is it known who's making the soundtrack for the game?

Do you even know what irony is?LazerShark said:Wasn't BG&E most well-known on the GameCube? It would be ironic that they move more toward the 360 than the Wii.
TheFightingFish said:But as you said, this is all so early that speculation is pretty useless at this point and I very much trust Ancel so I'm not worried about the art direction.
Indeed, the soundtrack is a big part of why I remember that game so fondlyAniHawk said:If it's not Christophe Heral, that would be a huge letdown.

I also know that true fans (for the lack of a better term) of a game that hardly would have a sequel released to begin with wouldn't be complaining about the platform it's going to.

The environment could've been cooked up in the last couple of weeks since Ancel made their work public.
How ironic. Now he's blind after a lifetime of enjoying being able to see.grandjedi6 said:Do you even know what irony is?

Which version is the preferred one? Cube, Xbox or PS2? (Did it come out on PS2?) I'll have to pick up a copy. I've seen a few around.
its how you get wrinkles out of your shirt.grandjedi6 said:Do you even know what irony is?
dude no. see above. NO. u r wrong. srslyonemic said:No, this is real time, it's simply obvious. You don't need a crazy CG team to make clean high res textures whatsoever, nor to remove aliasing. Those both fall under technical things and can easily be done by amateurs.
