I really like the new design language of Microsoft Logo's, they are all pretty amazing and compliment eachother.

Well, it's no longer horrible, so there's that. Bing's logo always stuck out as an eyesore every time I'd accidentally use it through IE at work.

MS is taking this fractured light/abstract geometry schtick seriously.

I expect Windows 8.1 to be full of these kinds of wallpapers too.

I literally googled "bing" to check if it as updated yet (it wasn't).

It's not very good? The old one was nothing special but it was kind of innofensively boring. This one just looks generically modern-Microsoft-y. The font is too plain.

Whatever it's not like anyone will ever see it though.

It's actually more than a new logo. It's a redesign that's adding new features. As a Bing user, always great to see new features.

Explore New Bing: http://www.bing.com/explore/newbing

The Next Phase (goes over the new features): http://www.bing.com/blogs/site_blogs/b/search/archive/2013/09/16/next-phase.aspx

Stepping Out of the Box (goes over the logo design -- interesting if you like reading about how companies design logos): http://www.bing.com/blogs/site_blogs/b/search/archive/2013/09/16/refresh.aspx
I'm a bing user too (For the free amazon credit!) and these changes look pretty slick!

I like it.

Fits with their angular rebranding.

This. looks better than the old one and is more in line with they new logos for MS products.
I half expected it to be some kind of google rip off, or like, google doodles every day with a new bing logo or soemthing.

I use both bing and google, but by now I do most of my searches in bing. Even though I usually search from the address bar, I still like to go to bing.com from time to time to look at the images. The video backgrounds they use sometimes look really amazing. I prefer the bing homepage, image and video search over google's.
What I like most about bing is that it plays nice with other services, whereas Google focuses on Google services (youtube, google+, ...). Bing searches videos on multiple sites including youtube (and porn sites ^^) and they integrate facebook and twitter.
Also, I'd really like to see more competition in Germany, where Google has like ~95% market share in search.

This looks good. The styling looks appropriate for the wordmark. As a "b" it takes you a bit to realize what it's supposed to be. I also don't think it's as good as their other logo's such as the one for Office and Windows. Looks forced.

LOL.

I Can't say I like the logo by itself but I love, the implementations.

Also didn't Microsoft took measures to stop bing from being that good a porn. Te preview feature doesn't work on most sites and in the ones that do is a short loop.

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
Maybe now they can be relevant?

Isn't a search engine being relevant a personal call? I ask because will them changing their logo make YOU want to use it? Wouldn't you agree that's a pretty dumb reason altogether for something to become relevant to someone?

They aren't just changing their logo. They are improving the entire website (see link) and soon with Windows 8.1 bing will directly be integrated into Windows. .
