Well there goes the only game I wanted this fall other then Aliens. Oh well. Saves me money for the Steam winter sale.
Love Ken Levines work, but the Bioshock games are not the kinds of games that should take 5 1/2 years to finish. Games like Skyrim and GTA sure, but not a Bioshock on Unreal Engine.
I don't understand people that are "happy because October was getting too crowded". I could understand being excited because they are taking there time with it to ensure quality but if the game is released in October it would still be there in February if you wanted to play it then and would probably about $20 cheaper too.

So is this clearing the way for GTA:V? 2K could have pushed Bioshock so GTA can release and better compete with the shooters.
This is the best thing that they could have done. Even though it's FPS, it's still far to unique to go toe to toe with AC III; Halo 4; and BLOPS 2. Why not wait a few months and drop in Q1?
I guess the season of delaying xmas releases until the next year has started early this year.
Some people have taken this news to mean that GTA V could come out this year:

I think that is nothing but wishful thinking.
Shit, wasn't this the one/first game announced for 2012?
Kind of makes sense though doesn't it? If GTA 5 isn't coming out this year then it would mean it is coming next year in that same window. That would be an even worse move if they are moving away from the holiday crunch into a window where they are competing against their own product.
