Paying money for promises. It's your own damn fault.

Exactly. The only one's at fault are people willing to throw money at something theyve never seen or have any details on. Hopefully, you've learned a lesson.

Besides that, its only been a few months. You should be happy that they''re taking their time with it and not rushing out some shitty 15minute side quest or skin packs that 99% of the industry is content with. Minervas Den and the GTA packs are by far and away among the best DLC ever released and they both came over a year after the original game.

I don't mind waiting to play the DLC, I just want to know what it's about.

..And do we as consumers have the right to be agitated about it?

You can be agitated about anything you want - it's not really a "consumer right".

Legally speaking, all they have to do is deliver within 1 year as the DLC pass promised - there was no promises for previews, media, etc.

I think a big reason they're not really speaking about it is because unlike many other companies, they started developing the DLC AFTER they game was shipped.

I'm glad we're getting news tomorrow, really looking forward to it.

I don't mind waiting for great DLC, my only worry is that they have to push out three DLCs before March of 2014. With the longer development time of DLC1 I'm a bit worried that the second and/or third might be rushed out in order to meet the deadline.

Either way, I have complete faith in Levine and Irrational so I'm not going to get too down on that yet. Looking forward to tomorrow.

I think it's okay to be mad at 2K for charging money for content before any work had been done

Season Passes are dumb and I wish publishers stopped doing them.

Pretty much. I'm happy to wait longer if it means the DLC will be better and not locked to the disc to gouge the customers. The reason people are antsy is probably because by the time all of the DLC will have been released, people will have already moved onto next gen, and given the lack of BC for PS4 and Xbone I can see the concern.

yeah pretty much, same goes for Kickstarter. It's a new era of marketing, people need to adapt quick

Fixed that a little. 2K is doing it "right" by doing the DLC much after the original game is released, but made a bad move by charging for DLC that didn't exist.

I'll never buy another season pass, no. I'm burned beyond belief; while it's my choice to sell my consoles, I won't even have my 360 when these come out, I shouldn't think.

LOL, no. The ONLY issue is the fact that it has been 4 months and they haven't said anything about it yet. No estimated release, no info on what it might center around, NOTHING.

I don't think many are complaining about the time itself, just about the lack of information to people who actually bought the thing.

Coming from someone who bought the darn thing, it would be nice to actually get SOME sort of word from Irrational before a quarter of a year has passed since I gave them my money.

I like how devs have absolutely no accountability in selling season passes -- it's entirely the consumer's fault for buying them, apparently. I realize that season passes are very quickly turning into a 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me' scenario, but you've got to be a pretty big apologist to think "Give us $20, and in six months we'll tell you what it gets you" is totally on the up and up. The sentiment that it's okay to abuse "stupid people" solely because they "deserve it" for being "stupid" is really gross.

Sure, for capitalism to work consumers need to not reward companies for doing shitty things, but I don't see how that excuses companies from doing shitty things in the first place.

In truth, I don't think this particular situation is really as bad as all that.. but the general attitude here is maybe a bit disgusting.

People probably wouldn't be mad if there wasn't a season pass that they paid for. They only have themselves to blame for this though. Should have resisted guys, these things are a trap!

But Amazon gave me $30 2K credit and there was nothing else on the list I wanted!

Actually I keep on forgetting that I ordered the Season's Pass probably for that reason alone.

It really is the consumers' fault, 100% their fault.

All accountability on the part of pubs/devs goes out the window once you buy it. Bioshock Infinite season pass holders are completely at the mercy of Irrational. Whereas if they want non-holders' money, they need to deliver a good product.

People need to stop spending money on this garbage.

They've shown glimpses of it through unofficial channels, like Ken Levine tweeting about having their voice actors in for the day. It might be their work ethic, too, like they keep quiet until it's ready to show off. On a side note, you can always buy the season pass later when it's on sale. Did that with Borderlands 2.

Don't buy them, and then tell the company selling them to fuck off. You're right, that is an improvement. :)

Every last season pass seems to get its very own thread of disappointment, confusion and woe. It got old a long time ago, but season passes keep getting sold and people keep buying them, so here we are.

Season passes are a ruse and a scam, and they always have been. You're buying nothing more than a vague promise of something, at some point in the future. The rarest thing in gaming right now is the satisfied season pass buyer, since its purely the luck of the draw whether the released DLC matches whatever made-up-from-whole-cloth expectations existed in the buyer's minds.

It really is the consumers' fault, 100% their fault.

Yep, up until the promised date of March 2014, if the last DLC launches anytime after May 1st, then it's their fault.

I have a hard time believing they will get 4 DLCs out before then, especially since it's taken them 4 months already to even announce 1 of them. My guess is if they do actually deliver 4, the last 2 will be rushed pieces of filler.

RUMOR: First DLC pack will release on December 25th and be Santa costumes for Booker and Elizabeth

as someone else stated, you paid for promises...

I actually got it free, the Microsoft Store gave me 1600MSP for preordering with them, but still, I did "pay" for it in a way.

I realize we have until March 2014 for them to live up to their promises, but at least give people tiny tid bits of info and not have 4 months of silence.

Season pass is actually an ingenious way for developers to keep players from selling their single player games with the promise of future content. It's like a reverse project $10 or something where the gamer pays cash for content and prevents it from going into the used game market. With how much this cost to develop, I wouldn't blame them for doing this.

So what does everyone think it's going to be? I bet it's gonna be some sorta prequel with Comstock. Flesh out the story some more. Also wasn't it 3 dlc packs?

Take it further: We play as Lady Booker and her partner Lady Booker because there are infinite Lady Bookers

Spoilers man, jesus

I've found it practically impossible to get back into Infinite after The Last of Us.

I've found it practically impossible to get back into anything after The Last of Us.

The whole "never buy season passes" argument is kinda dumb. There is plenty of value to be had (i.e. Borderlands 2) but I do agree that the Infinite "season pass" is more akin to kickstarting the DLC than the way season passes have been done up until now.

Bioshock Infinite: Off The Record!

You play through the entire game again... but this time as Jack Ryan!

They can definitely have plenty of value.

I think the lesson here shouldn't be never buy season passes, but learn what's in a season pass before buying one.

Borderlands 2 was the first, and probably last, season pass I've bought. It was more about disappointment in content than delay in content like it is with BioShock. They really should have said something by now. A month or two of silence post-launch? Fine. 4 months? I think you're really pushing it.

Never again will I pre-purchase a DLC season pass. I was foolishly suckered into buying it during a brief moment of weakness after the ending high from Infinite.

While there are still a few days left in July for the DLC information to technically be on time, it's just information, not the content. The wait from late-March to July for information is ridiculous. I'm part of the problem with my purchase, but never again.

Bioshock is one of my fav IP's and this wait for DLC is killing me. Hopefully the fact that it's taking this long means that it will be meaty and lengthy.

That's a bit of a simplistic view. They could at least be more transparent to the people who bought and paid for this DLC already via Season Pass.

I don't think anyone intelligent is demanding it right this second... more wondering what the hell is going on with it. A little info (and a screenshot or two) would go a long way.

The concept of DLC is to provide added content after the release of the game. This shows that we are dying for DLC just because other crappy companies have release DLC.

1. Sell a game piecemeal

2. Sell a product or service that doesnt even exist yet.

They both stink.

They can definitely have plenty of value.

I think the lesson here shouldn't be never buy season passes, but learn what's in a season pass before buying one.

Addendum: If you do buy something without exactly knowing what it is, that's fine, but don't whine about it later.

I don't understand why people are upset with the wait, its been like three months. Aren't you the same people that complain about how most DLC is just content that was originally supposed to be in the game and then cut out and resold as DLC? This DLC is supposed to be brand spackin new and was started until after Infinite was shipped.

Games take a while to make, especially quality ones. I'm sure Ken Levine will not disappoint, so hold your horses otherwise you are just convincing companies to cut content from games to sell to you a week later as DLC.

Indeed. Pre-purchasing a Season Pass was basically giving money away for months. I probably would've bought the Season Pass at a later time and spent my $20 elsewhere had I known that Irrational was going to wait more than four months to give us even a glimpse of what we paid for. Instead, I blindly trusted and got bitten in the ass.

I know better now. It's a $20 lesson learned.
