This, my friend, is one of the saddest things I've ever heard. I have the same sympathy for you that I have for people who can't eat spicy foods.
Not trying to insult you at all; I just think that some of the greatest game experiences ever have been "scary" games (Resident Evil series, Silent Hill 1&2, etc), and it makes me sad that you don't dig them.

Given that all three consoles are successful now, there's no reason for it either (sorry if you misinterpreted my remarks on the last two pages as trolling).
Back to the matter at hand, I highly recommend Bioshock to everyone who likes shooters and suspenseful games. And I just don't get the people who say it should have ended at the halfway point. The second half of the game is when you get the most interesting plasmids and weapons, allowing the most creativity in dealing with enemies. Sure, the environments aren't as good, but the action is a lot better, IMO.
