I thought I was scoring a major deal when I got them for just over $100. That's awesome.

...Though this isn't exactly the right thread for that.

I'm just musing about how sweet a gaming bargain it is/was. I bumped the appropriate thread tho.

thanks so much for posting this. I was looking for new wireless headphones cause im sick of tripping over wires. Sounds like this is a good set so i bought it. 70% off is sweet.

Ditto here as well :-) Thanks OuterWorldVoice! At $60 I'm willing to take a risk on some wireless headphones....

BTW on a more thread related topic, why were DS's seemingly flying off the shelves today? Was there a really good deal on DS's or DS bundles? Or was it simply a case of demand for DS's being high? Just curious.

by the initial sounds of it, it seems like music games might be seeing their days come to an end with barely any RB, GH, DJ reports.

Just got back from a local best buy.

Never again. Until next black Friday.

LOTS of copies of rock revolution and piles or mountains of Tony hawk ride.

My local Gamestop was doing mad business today. All 3 home consoles were selling well with Wii's in first, PS3's in 2nd and 360's close behind. DS Lite's were sold out in both new and used before noon. SMB Wii, MW2, AC2, etc. were all doing very well and I saw people walking around with stacks of used games from the B2G1 sale.

The line was to the back of the store pretty much the whole time I was there although most everyone was being very nice and polite. It was very, very busy but not a bad experience all in all.

DS always sells the most.
That's what I figured. I was just a little worried I might have missed out on a some sort of awesome DS BFD. I'm still GBA SP'ing and just haven't taken the plunge and thought at this point I might just wait until the DS's successor arrives unless there's some sort of insane deal on a DSi/DSi bundle.

Was just at Best Buy, saw 3 people with PS3's in the line and another person with a 360 bundle, but that guy was waiting for something, don't know maybe a price match or something, they called in some people from the back to deal with the issue. I didn't witness the conclusion to that though.

Just got of work(8am-6pm) and after cramming some much needed food and water into my system i can now chip in my 2 cents from Target. Definitely sold a shit ton of DSI's. Id imagine if we had more of the bundles with the games the difference would have been astounding. Didnt sell to many PS3's but thats probably because we didnt have any of the 299 packs in. Just sold a shit ton of modern warfare 2. Like. Every other person. Also some strange dude from out of hte country who bought LITERALLY every system, but not a single game for any of them. Weird but hardly the weirdest thing of the day.

Just got back from a Fred Meyer store in Oregon. Place was dead - about a normal Friday. Only the crazy deep discount door busters sold out, stock was fine otherwise. The woman at the checkout said morning was busy, but died off much faster than previous years.

Just got home from a 12 hour shift (5-5). Had a pretty big line to start the day and we were sold out of all 12 PS3 bundles in the first 10 minutes. System wise for our store (new not used) PS3 was the top dog for the day as I left with Wii right behind it. 360 was doing ok, but people just weren't biting on the elite deal though we sold quite a few used 360's. We sold all of our Used DS's within the first hour (over 50) and sold out all of our Slim PS2's by noon :lol

Game wise NSMB Wii was by far the biggest seller followed by L4D2 on 360. MW2 was doing pretty good, but not as big as the other two. I'd say the next biggest seller was God of War collection...sold our last copy around 4 (we had quite a few in stock too).

edit: Forgot all about Ass. Creed 2 for some reason. It sold better than MW2 and GoW: Collection so just add that in between those two :D

As someone who used to work in a videogame store, I'd say you guys got owned on this purchase. Chances are he's working a credit card scam. Everything looks legit, but it's not. Same thing happened to us about 9 years ago and I'm sure it still happens, especially at this time of year.

Such a random place for that Amazon black friday deal to be posted, but I'm glad it was or else I'd never have found it :lol Fuckin' bought!

Eh if we got scammed its cool im not to bent outa shape by it seeing as its not my money and im not allowed to accuse anyone anyhow. We get A LOT of fake travelers cheques all the time and we cant do shit about it unless our "security" manager is right next to us. Either way he was at least a nice criminal just sorta goofy.

Yea, speaking of Target which I forgot to mention earlier the wife said that the local Target decided to just open up all the cases where the games are kept. She said it was an absolute wreck by the time she got to Target.

Not sure who's bright idea that was, but; :lol

Yeah, I hear ya. We were the same way back then. We had an idea it seemed too weird and good to be true, but we can't do much about it. Besides, it's not your money as you mention. Who cares if the store gets ripped off :) When everything looks legit you can't tell them "no" just because it's weird.

I saw someone buy a copy of Tony Hawk Ride at Walmart.
After picking up the PS3 Slim from Bestbuy I went over to Gamestop and saw some teenage Twilight girls thinking of getting it. Can't remember if they did or not, I was too busy laughing at them. :lol :lol

Lots of mad people at a local best buy this morning. The line was wrapped around the building almost twice. Many didn't know about the vouchers so they waited in line for nothing cause all the good deals were gone by the time they got in. I can't believe how many people I saw buying a PS2 though

Yeah I dont mean to sound like i dont care but it was a long day and 90 people behind this guy so i was just like w/e lets do this shit. But it was funny when i hit him up for a warranty he told me he didnt want one because he lived out of country. It actually sucks that i cant do anything about it.

8-12 (Gamestop) from what I saw the Ps3 sold (by 9am we sold out of ps3 bundles) the most followed buy ds (most used note one DSi bought while i was there) and wii. people were still buy used ps2's as well.

But game wise there weren't a lot of new games sold (U2,MF2,NSMBwii,Dragon Age were the only new games i saw bought) but used DS and Wii games were flying off the selves (due to b2g1) and most of the used games bought were aimed towards kids younger then 10 and females.

side note- We had the wii station going. People young and old lit up when they saw NSMB wii. This older lady was sold on just NSMBwii alone showing that no matter what mario is universal.

jesus I want these....Is there anything I should know before ordering?

Yes, people can eavesdrop on the transmission. Nothing to worry about, though, as long as your listening to 'normal' things.

not that i work there, but i went to best buy to peruse some movies and price match radio shack's ad on DS3's (29.99!!) and i went back to the game section with a long ass line (my best buy moved their game section to a different part of the store with a completely separate checkout, etc). As far as random observations there were tons of ps3's being sold, lots of 360 games and lots of wii games. The PS3 and 360 sections where the games were 34.99 were basically ransacked, the only things left were EA Sports games and Brutal Legend.

What do you mean by that? Would this be good for handheld gaming and iphones and such cause if it is i will buy one right now.

Heh, just got GTA IV for the ps3 for free because it was $19.98 and I have a $20 promotional video game credit from when I purchased COD4:MW2 for the PC for my brother in law. w00t!

edit: on amazon.com

Between yesterday and today I went to 3 Game Crazys, no real lines (bad wait yesterday, but that's only because of a couple of pains in the ass ahead of me.) God of War Collection is really hard to find.

Best Buy wasn't bad at all, I expected it to be much worse.

They had a separate line for the PS3?

Where I went there was one line for the PS3 and 360 bundles, but the people at the counter apparently knew how much better the PS3 deal was because they didn't even ask before handing each person who came past a PS3, wishing them a Merry Christmas, and sending them straight out the door.

Oddly enough, the Best Buy I went to sold out of the 360 before the PS3 or DSi. I think they had way more PS3s/DSis though.

$200 Sennheiser Surround Headphones - $60

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007QN18U/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Nice.

These headphones are not good at all!

Just a heads up to anyone looking at those headphones, I have a pair of Sennheiser RS130 wireless headphones and they are awful. There's so much interference I have to get positioned just right to get decent sound - and then if I move at all I hear the high pitched "wheeee" of static for a split second. It's really irritating when trying to watch or listen to something. I'm using a regular pair of 40 dollar wired headphones with a really long extension cable, instead.

My 2 cents is to save your 6000 cents!

Went to Fry's and Walmart.

Walmart was insane. The line wrapped around several blocks and then around the parking lot. The store opened at 5 and by 5:30 most people were still outside. Said screw it and went down to Fry's.

At Fry's, Wii's were selling out, I saw one left. PS3's were really hot too, only one 250GB model left, no 120GB models. Tons of 360 arcade and elite bundles left. The Uncharted 2 kiosk drew a large crowd and the game itself was sold out. PS3 Batman AA kiosk always had someone playing but no crowd. No one went near the 360/Forza kiosk or the PSP kiosk. Surprisingly only one PSP Go was left. DS Lite nowhere to be found, DSi nearly sold out.

Non-gaming wise, the $77 blu-ray player was gone by about 6:00am. Half the people in line for HDTVs had one, some people had two in their carts. The 52'' 1080p LCD Samsung for $994 was the hot HDTV item, tons of people bought one. Lots of 46'' and 40'' and 32'' TVs selling too.

Did you manage to score a PS3 though ?

Yep. About five people behind me cut in front of about 20-30 people and one of those five people nabbed the PS3 ticket and gave it to me (I didn't ask him to do it, we were just talking about what we were in line for). I had ticket #30. It looked like there were about 40-50 systems and about ten less 360s.

I got out the door 20 minutes after the store opened. It was crowded, but not so much you were suffocating or anything. The line moved at a steady pace too.

I worked in computers at best buy 4am-1pm

What a nightmare especially since you people are dumb animals, gonna be honest.

Cool dude. Good for you. It was too damn cold last night so I just waited and ordered the Amazon bundle and also got The Dark Knight BD for about $10. It worked out in the end after all.

Not necessarily. He might just be buying them for purchase abroad.

Brazil, for example, adds a 70% tax on video game consoles, so if he gets them past customs, hes gold.
