I definitely think they do deserve some credit. Even when old IW was there 3arc had still outpaced them on content and features. I would just say thst them falling apart also played into 3arc gaining more momentum

with the weekends going over 200k no problems........I don't know any current shooter that gets anywhere near that.

Of course we don't even have player count anymore on the newer CoD's from what I remember.

Amazing figures. I never played any CODs after Black Ops 1, mainly because I'm not a big multiplayer fan and I didn't particularly care for the campaigns in the three following MW1, so I kind of gave up trying to care about it, although I am quite optimistic about BO3. Is it this week it's out?

I say this as someone who still enjoys CoD MP, honestly I dont remember the BO2 MP at all. And I am sure I have played a decent chunk of it, 30-40 hours I would say.

Its all a blur after MW2. They all seem to melt into one another for some reason.

When the average player count on the PS3 ALONE at almost any given point is 150k+k....PC CoD is nearly irrelevant. The game is fucking massive on consoles with probably half a mil on consoles at any given point.....during peak hours.....it goes insane. I've seen almost 300k on a monday night last month....its utterly stupid how big 3 could possibly be for next gen hardware sales.

This is on last gen only and with a 3 year old game....again insanely huge numbers.

Sunday Black Ops 3 numbers will be huge, I'm ready for over 1 milion concurrent on ps4.

Black Ops 3 will probably get a ton of attention - especially since it's got: Zombies, Wall-Running, Run & Sliding, Overwatch/TF2-like abilities (teleportation), and now the PC version is going to get Mapping Mods in 2016.

Gonna be interesting to see the Halo 5 vs. SW: Battlefront vs. Black Ops 3 showdown later this month.

It is more to do with the fact that Ghosts and AW were massively disappointing so people were forced to go back to BO2.

I wonder if it'll bother them enough to upgrade. Generally speaking these people need a reason - I'm just kind of surprised they haven't found it yet. I think it would take COD outright skipping last generation for numbers like this to become a thing of the past.

this is, to me, why buying games on pc is so much more valuable than on consoles. my ability to just launch it from steam as opposed to hooking up old gen hardware (and feeling a little dirty) makes all the difference in the world.

I actually only recently bought it and play zombies origins exclusively. Game was expensive for a 3 yr old game too.

I'd love a remake or current gen port. The framerate in 4 player when you're all in one spot and the zombies storm turns into a slideshow. Not even exaggerating.

Hmm I just can't agree with this. Black ops 2 is the only one I would probably rate higher than MW2, but that is just because of all the unbalanced shit that didn't get patched due to the gutting of IW. COD4 is definitely above the rest though.

Black Ops 1 and 2 are the best COD games for me. Most of my favorite COD maps are in those 2 games

Agree, would hate to play a fighter that so completely balanced. The satisfaction of beating someone who is playing evil ryu while I'm playing blanka is so good.

I still once in a while pop in my copy on Wii u and play 3arc has always delivered they also loved there Nintendo fans and treated us great with what activision allowed them to do.
