Black Panther Teaser Trailer

Yeah but even North Korea cant keep shit secret. And that is run of the mill stuff like famine and concentration camps. Forget alien looking spaceships and super powered people.

I mean its not a deal breaker but it is ridiculous. They could have come up with a better explanation.

Or just not explain it. Wakanda just happens to be a super rich and tech advanced nation in Africa. It just is.

-People like living in Wakanda. It's not a distopia, it's a utopia. You don't get bad stories if the people are generally happy.

-it's in Africa and sadly people have pre conceived notions about what it's like. Add a continent that can hold most developed nations in its land mass and you have a huge haystack to hide that needle.

- The whole country is overflowing with super competent people. If shield can hide helicarriers, Wakanda can handle it.

Klaue lol. Now that is a on the nose name. Anyway, I don't see what you are seeing in the trailer, but I'm willing to give the movie the benefit of doubt. Could be the that trailer just tries to appease to the imperialistic worldview trough cutting things out.
I think you’re just making this more complex than it is. What the poster you quoted said is literally what the movie is trying to convey.

I wonder what the justification will be for letting him into Wakanda tbh

Affirmative action.

How does the the most advanced country in the world still have a monarch?

There are actually several tribes, the tribes( Gator, Lion, Gorilla, etc) seen a rep and the reps act as a parliament that run the day to day stuff. The King or Queen is only there for serious shit. The tribes can, and have kicked out the king.( Black Panter Man without Fear)

You can't just let it be is considering something like Wakanda would change a lot
Also it's not North Korea while it's comic book nonsense Wakanda is the most advance country on the planet and makes first world countries look like well N Korea they can use their comic tech to easily hide their shit klaw was just lucky

I assume opening up Wakanda from isolation is a major plot point of the film. And wouldn't be the first time he let outsiders in (Bucky and Cap).

Well, I don't know if you clicked that EW link, but him and Klaw
are actually in Korea. In fact a number of scenes in the trailer take place outside of Wakanda, it seems

We see him in a snowy area behind Angela Basset. Dunno if that's in Wakanda or not though.

It is, the EW thing explains it's where
Man-Ape's people live

Kinda surprised the interior of Wakanda looks so similar to something out of Guardians or Ragnarok. I figured this movie would visually distance itself more than any other Marvel film to date. Granted it's only 2-3 short shots in the trailer but the color scheme and architecture looks very Cosmic to me at least.

But man that's how you make a teaser, leaves you wanting to see more.

Anyone else disappointed by this trailer? Something just seems off about the look.. Still gonna see this though.

The scene itself is awesome, but the editing and camera switching is terrible.

Just look how much better it would have been with a wide shot

With a few small changes to that scene it would have been amazing.

I understand that actors/actresses can't fight, and want screen time, but at least stop with all this unnecessary editing and camera shakes. This director seems to be what Marvel needs. Hoping he delivers.

This is the problem with pretty much every MCU action sequence since the start of phase 2.

One onscreen action results in a cut. Almost without fail. The only usual exception being for repeated actions like the Hulkbuster jackhammer punch.

Age of Ultron - Hulkbuster fight

Civil War - Apartment fight

Iron Man 3 - Final Battle

They need to try something new.
