Not too crazy about how short the tutorial area is. Maybe there's an extended path somewhere that walks you through the new systems a bit?
Just seems weird, especially when you consider that DeS and both DkS games had tutorial areas to let players stretch their legs a bit before they got to the "proper" game.
You should probably make a spoiler free thread once the video goes up. The thread containing the video is almost certainly going to be full of spoilers.
There's like at least 4 NPCs in this first area- Another Hunter, and two people behind locked doors, and Gamon in the Refuge.
Just a hunch, but I don't think the IGN video is the true start of the game.I think you'll play up to the point where you are captured by the guy at the start of the IGN video. Or some other but similar kind of scenario.
Aren't those the giant trees from Dark Souls off in the distance in the nexus area? Crossover confirmed
Tighten up the frames on level 3 please
I'm in the same boat... i am too weak.. T.T
I gave up and watched it![]()
So how often are we going to get new info from IGN? Never followed a game on their IGN First thing... is it a daily thing?
Sometimes (like when we did MCC in October), but usually we have content drops about 3x per week.
Tomorrow will be a big, in-depth, written feature preview about the first couple hours of the game, written by Marty. Hope you enjoy the month!

I hope it is a hub world type deal ala Demons. It really helps with getting stuck in a specific area and getting overly frustrated from monotony and really creates a game where a replay can be COMPLETELY different the next time around. Taking a completely different route through the game and creating unique challenges for yourself due to the various different areas being better for later game, but doing it early gives you access to even better equipment.
Shit like that.
We'll see. Either way is alright, but I MUCH preferred the hub system of Demons to the interconnected stuff of Dark.
