Bloodborne servers under "emergency maintenance" for a few days.

What a bummer, was having fun helping out a friend play co-op yesterday. I only have 2 bosses to go, will probably wait until the servers are back up to finish it out.

The DLC is fantastic.

That'll learn me, never go into ng++ with a build you plan to use for the DLC.

I need to git gud.
 
This fucks everything up for me. I don't stand a chance alone in NG+ at lvl 100. The hunter enemies don't even go down with a single riposte from my threaded cane. My health vials and my bullets run out too fast ... I need cheat mode to be able to do this ...
 
I admitedly cheesed Ludwig and took the easy way out summoning NPCs, but I didnt think he was that bad. Im on NG+. Hes stupid blue wave death beam killed me 3 times in a row until i learned how to watch for it, then he was promptly fisted.
 
For people stuck in bosses, remember The League! They work in offline mode.

Wait, how do you cheese him? I beat him yesterday fair and square but I'd totally have cheesed the hell out of him if I knew how haha. Took me like 20 something tries to beat him.
 
Finally i hard tryed Orphan, got him with one blood vial left, incredible fight. I finally finished the DLC on NG+. Yeepie !

I send courage for people who fight Ludwig, Laurence or OoK right now !
 
I hope this fixes my problem with the game. Ever since the last patch I've been unable to play online unless I switch my ps4 to wifi.

Yep, that'll be me. I can't get more than a third depleted off his energy bar, with Henriet and a summoned player, so i'lll go back to Fallout and wait for all of this to blow over.
 
Bah, this sucks. I just started a new game last night to replay it and hit the DLC at the end. I was looking forward to helping others out with the regular bosses, and I enjoy all the little notes people leave. I guess I'll go back to Fallout which I had kind of burned myself out on over the weekend.
 
dammit. i was playin with my buddy yesterday and he was finally starting to understand what makes the game fun. we made it to grand cathedral, and our bells wouldnt work i thought it was just a part of the game you had to solo.
 
I'm up to the final DLC boss in my 2nd playthrough...was wondering if this will effect Trophies...I have 1 trophy remaining to get 100% completion (the collect all weapons one)...will it still give me credit for the Trophy if I'm offline?
 
Well, this blows. Souls games just aren't the same offline.

EDIT: This is the first I've heard of the DLC exploit. Took them awhile to decide emergency maintenance was necessary.

Exploit was uncovered very recently amongst a small player base, either way though, it wasn't till it was shared (so who knows how many people exploited it) and that bloodborne fans immediately contacted sony to let them know of the situation. #goodfans.

It's been known since the day the dlc released

Should be good. I assume you don't have to be online for trophies.

Summon Valtr ! Henriette is a pushover when Phase 2 begins and dies easy. Valtr is styling on Ludwig with pizza cutter and is tougher.

I managed to do that but solo. Couldn't find an NPC etc and I think my PS Plus ran out yesterday. He is absolutely unrelenting. Although maybe its just my luck. One time I fought Micolash he spammed his magic attacks ALL the time, practically stun locked me, the next time he didn't use one before he was dead.
 
For the people stuck on the first boss in DLC I feel ya guys, I'm in NG+ and he's hard, getting killed when he's at 5-10% is soulcrushing. Even the Old Hunter Henriett near the lamp downstairs that you can summon dies quickly in the second phase.
 
i'm on NG++ and i'm level 172. would that be about right for this DLC? i read it's 65/111 for NG/NG+ so i figured i'd be okay
 
I'm not willing to pay for PS+, so this is one FROMSOFTWARE game that I will be playing alone although I typically reserve summoning players to dire situations. I never was a big PvP player in these games.
 
I put forth a few valiant solo efforts, and got
Ludwig
down around 25%. The last solo attempt was even closer, but I finally caved and joined the League.

Valtr was a jolly cooperator ... Prey Slaughtered.

Until you mentioned this, I didn't even realise you could summon Valtr for the battle. Just summoned him, waiting for a real player as well for some extra insurance.

I have improved slightly, I got him all the way down to his second form earlier, just to great promptly flattened by his massive sword.
 
Nice that co-op is back online.

For Ludwig's 2nd phase, get up close and quickstep around, hitting him from behind. It makes it fairly easy. The 1st phase is actually the hard part.
 
First I've heard of the exploit. Wonder what will happen to exploiter's characters still in the Old Hunters areas after they've fixed it. Limbo in an eternal nightmare?

Would be funny if they could troll them a bit. Leave them stuck in the dlc with no equipment for a couple days.

Problem that way is, the second player you summon raises the HP of Ludwig (this is dependend on his lvl?).
Try it only with Valtr, he will always attack so Ls attention should stay with him. That way you can attack him from the side/behind. Don't stay back. Valtr is not doing much damage but grabs the attantion and staggers L from time to time with heavy hits.

Thanks to the latest "the League" update 1.07, you can summon NPCs in a lot of main game areas and bosses now. Chalices too.
