I pray to any god willing to listen to let tomorrow's trailer be mainly actual gameplay and not cinematics etc. I remember saying that I won't let myself get hyped for gamescom but you know how it is...
 
As far as visuals, all I'm hoping for is to find out they have added some awesome dynamic lighting to Bloodborne's gameplay. Especially, knowing this is a joint-effort by FROM *and* Japan Studio. Thus, more programmers and more experience with PS4 hardware.

And I'd like to think PS4's GPU with its DX11-class shaders and much higher performance than 360/PS3 can manage such lighting at 30 frames per second.

It's understandable FROM decided to cut the original lighting / atmosphere of darkness from DSII along with some of the geometry and number of particles to keep a reasonable framerate on last-gen consoles.

Also remember, that Bloodborne gameplay trailer was already really old when it leaked.

You really havent noticed?? Zombie U, Ghost of Tale, Lords of the Fallen, Deep Down and countless indie games. Games are called 'The Dark Souls of _______ for their difficulty.

Zombie U barely, it's more of a barebones survival horror.
Deep Down isn't even out yet.
Never heard of ghost of tale
Lords of the Fallen I will give to you, cause that is the only one i can really think of.

Being called "the dark souls of something" isn't really a good comparison cause Dark souls didn't invent harsh difficulty.

Bloodborne is probably going to be great but let's not jump ahead and say it's going to change everything.

Developers have literally gone out and admitted that they've been heavily inspired by Souls.

I was reminding you that yes, its had influence. Not agreeing with someone elses hyperbole, which you seemed to deny wholly.
And a game does not have to be a clone either. Destiny and Witcher 3 took inspiration for instance.

I was more denying the fact that it has widespread influence cause I don't see many games trying to emulate it(see CoD for a game that had lots and lots of influence).

I was genuinely curious to see what games were inspired by dark souls cause there seems to not be many.

Even though we've seen very little, it's a safe bet that this game will require the same level of involvement as the Souls titles. Of course, we should know quite a bit more tomorrow, so just wait until then.

The multiplayer was industry changing and even people like Ubisoft are copying it(watchdogs). "Mingleplayer" (as cliffy b calls it) is huge. You have a P4 avatar, I'm assuming you are familiar with the the stuff they did with multiplayer in p4g?
