Sir, the rumor stated several projects would be done and they are open to outsourcing. Never fucking said Bloober doing the game was a rumor bud

Konami stating that they are doing a Silent Hill with Bloober still supports that rumor that they have SEVERAL projects and are OPEN TO OUTSOURCING
 
if this is an actual indie dev, theres no way in fuck im buying their game lmao. if they cant even get this right, their game is guaranteed to be some amateur hour crap.

basically, if its not kojima or some other AAA dev, then fuck them and their game

What if it ends up being a very nice game made by a indie dev? They always told they are not related to Kojima and are a indie studio. Ppl hoping they are something else are playing themselves.
 
Only in my wildest dreams this game can match the hype around it.

It doesn't matter they have said they are not related to Kojima. If they really wanted to distance themselves from that they wouldn't put up a patched dude face blurred in the background...

Yeah as I've noted elsewhere he's imrpoved.

His next Android game looked better... and then the Steam one arguably slightly more advanced at least technically (although both had only the one lame gameplay mechanic of pointlessly taking photos.)

He's a guy messing around in Unreal engine... and getting better over time.. the tools have also improved as well as the quality of free or cheap assets though.

Have they ever really said it would be some 4K60 RDR2 level thing?

All I remember was some shitty teaser with what looked like some basic landscapes that could be made with stock assets + amateurish sounding narration + a small gameplay tease that looked like it was running at 10fps. All from a dev that has already put a game out on steam that looks like some amateur project made with stock assets.

And then people going on some crazy conspiracy that, admittedly, the dev was often happy to encourage.

And it's all based on the fact Kojima has done something similar before. With the tiny exception that the Phantom Pain actually looked like a proper AAA game from the start:

Instead of something that I , with zero game dev experience, could probably put together.

Despite anything else, there's got to be something to Sony's majority silence whilst Hassan's been fucking around. This is the company that exilled CyberPunk from their store over quality issues (allegedly). To do that, and let this crap continue doesn't match-up.

Anything Sony have said over the game has been winky winky, like Shu's ''hmmm'' tweet, whilst the screenshot showed he hadn't even downloaded the app (oops!) - Not to mention all the references and 'coincidences' coming from Kojima, Konami, former Silent Hill devs etc.

I'm still Team Real, but this attempt at viral marketing has been piss poor all the way around from everyone included, from Hassan, Geoff, Kojima & Co, all the way up the pole to Sony themselves.

Right, it doesn't make a lot of sense why they'd do an ARG campaign badly. The whole point is to create wonder and interest. If it's going to go this wrong, and repeatedly so, and if it never has a strong table to build the puzzle upon in the first place, then no good doing a tease campaign if all you're accomplishing is bad vibes for your product.

Sony published Abandoned on their blog, right? Also Shu kind of did a cryptic post. And this is the first time a game has this kind of debut (through an app).

I'm not saying "believe" because I'm skeptic myself but Sony hasn't put any effort in distance themselves from this. I can see why people could think this is a Sony backed project.
