Why is Craig dressed as my dad?

The rights issue was settled last year. They own everything now. So there's no more problem. They don't have to retcon anything. They can just have Blofeld arise as a more powerful figure from the shadows and either take over Quantum or destroy it as a show of power to the underworld. Or they can just ignore it completely, because no one wants to remember QoS.

Quantum of Solace is one of the best Bond movies though.

QoS for me, still has some of the best action of the newer Bond movies. That scene at the opera still hasn't been topped for me.

So they did the Star Trek 2 Khan/not Khan thing. Real dumb.

Wow they didn't even try changing it to hide anything. It fits the original leak to a tee:

First up, the Daily Mail says a press conference will take place during the first week of December to announce the proper title of the new film, as well as the cast and some teaser summary of the story. We’ve known this would happen, as that’s the way Bond production company EON works. EON turns a new Bond announcement into an event.

Specifically, however, the Mail says EON “will announce the star is playing an unknown character called Franz Oberhauser, son of the late Hans Oberhauser, a ski instructor who acted as a father figure to Bond.” But the rumor is that, like John Harrison in Star Trek Into Darkness, who was revealed to be Khan, that character name is a smoke screen with Blofeld being the true character played by Waltz.

I didnt like skyfall as much as others, but spectre and blofeld with skyfalls cinematography has me really excited

Oh right, I forgot all about that movie lol

I haven't read any leaks, but now I know all about Waltz's character from coming in these threads. I guess I only have myself to blame. I guess it won't be a huge plot point though.

Oh fuck they are doing the Khan thing, ugh.

you mean they are doing the Blofeld thing?

Yep. Why does everyone think they're taking inspiration from goddamn star trek?! They're taking inspiration from Bond. And that's from the film series - Waltz' character seems to follow a similar path to Blofeld in Ian Fleming's You Only Live Twice mixed with the Oberhauser character from another novel.

Hoyte is shooting SPECTRE on film. (skyfall was digital, sony alexa)

I'm so excited for this. Van Hoytema delivered absolutely stunning work with Interstellar and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Skyfall looked amazing but I think Spectre will look even better not to take anything away from Deakins though.

it's funny that an MI6 secret agent of all people is the one who's constantly using his real name instead of a pseudonym :/
(that was confirmed in Skyfall, right? Bond being is family name?)

They will film at Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier and Erfoud, Morocco, Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altausee, Austria.

It was confirmed in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only, Licence to Kill, Goldeneye, The World is Not Enough and Skyfall.

The theory is bullshit. And now you have Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, the son of the man who acted as a mentor to Bond after his parents died in a skiing accident. That will finally put the goddamn theory to rest.

So damn happy for Batista - guy is making big moves in the movie business now, and he's super-grateful for it too.

When I read that he cried when he got to be in a Marvel movie (GotG) and immediately took extra acting lessons to prepare, I felt so happy for him.

We are talking outside the movie, not what the character did. Everyone knows Waltz is Blofeld, just acknowledge it. Now a year of question dodging from Eon ala JJ Abrams.
